BobS761
I would think the factory spring would be fine. I only changed after testing what worked best. B

Reshoot
If memory serves me correctly, Scott Springer (Springer Precision) gave me a good price on a 3 spring set. Been a while back though

ChuckB
I'm using a 16# spring in my 5.25 .45 with major loads. I used a 14# spring for a while which was awesome when new but after a couple thousand rounds I could really feal the slide slamming hard during recoil. I upgraded to the 16 because that was what I had and I doubt I'll go back to the 14#.
bigdawgbeav
I'm on the fence... I've used the stock 18# and currently have a Wolff 16# in there now... not sure which I like better.
