Which JP handguard?

I'm new to three gun and I getting ready to order a JP-15 upper. So far I think decided I want an 18" light contour barrel with the standard muzzle brake. I also like the 15" handguard but I can not decide wether I want the rapid configuration or the standard. Any input on advantages/disadvatages of each handguard or the upper in general would be appreciated.

Havent seen one of the rapid configuration models. Unless you plan on moving rail sections around regularly I would go with the standard. Either way anything JP is top notch. I have standard handguards on two of my AR's, love em both.

Hope you can get your upper soon, I think JP is pretty backed up to say the least....

Two votes for Standard which is probably the way I will go. When I spoke to JP on the phone today they are not making any promises but figured 6 months was the minimum. Reading some of the posts on here it sounds like it may be closer to a year or more. Midway claims they will have a DPMS 3G1 upper in by the end of the month but I doubt thats accurate...

Flip a coin, the only way to know for sure is to shoot each one for a season to make your own mind up. Get one shoot it, try the other one on your next upper. I have been a die hard original recipe guy, but I went with a RC for this year and so far am happy.
