billwright Posted September 23, 2004 Share Posted September 23, 2004 Does anyone know anything about a scope called "Famous Makers" apparently made by Zanders Sports Goods and distributed by J & G sales who advertise in the Shot Gun News. The scope is an 8 / 32 x 42, designated FM83242 and has a price of about $78 US. As J & G wouldnt take a visa or mastercard from out side USA I got my daughter in Denver to buy the thing and send it to me. It hasent arrived yet but has anyone tried one of these? Huck Posted September 26, 2004 Share Posted September 26, 2004 I own Leupold, Zeiss, Lecia, and a Tasco Super Sniper. It IS in the same class as Leopold and I trust it fully, tough (been dropped a few times) repeatable adjustments, and optically "good enough". If you need more than it can give you need to make a huge jump in money, ala Nightforce or Shmidt and Bender. For the money, you can't go wrong.
