I went to the match and liked it. Yes, it had growing pains. I'll go again. I expect that this will turn into a very good match. Practiscore isn't a big deal to me. The venue was good and close to a major town. The range was nice, folks were nice. I'll be back.

I have a DB9 it runs like a top, I carry rangers in it and is accurate. I wouldn't trade mine for any other gun of its type.

Hornady 68's are better than SMK 69's me thinks. I am currently using the Hornady 75's for more ding at distance!

Try working up a new load. AR barrels should last a LONG time, even with abuse. Just because the throat is eroded doesn't mean it's not gonna be accurate, it just means that the pressure curve has changed. I have had some CRAPPY barrels turn out great accuracy. Conversely, I have had some really good looking barrels that couldn't make me happy.

Hornady 75's, plenty accurate and puts steel DOWN.

A pigtail is the only cure for a carbine gas system. M`16 clinic makes them and they do work. Adjustable gas blocks don't do much. New barrels work wonders! :D

I was just wanting the info because I am thinking of going from an 18 to a 16 and want to see the velo difference with 68-75 grn bullets, which is what I shoot. I think the loss is quite small.

Does anybody have link to the article that appeared in front sight a couple of years ago that compared barrel length and velocity with different bullet weights? I have been looking for it and can't find it anywhere.

I use hornady 68's for 3 gun, I use 24.5 of RL15. I haven't found a gun that won't shoot that load well. They are the best compromise for 3gun and they buck the wind a little better than 69's, they also whack the steel really well.

I own a g21sf and have shot the MP. Both are awesome, I like the glock because I own others. There are more accessories for the glock and it holds more bullets for a similar length grip. Just pick one and shoot the hell out of it.
