dbletap_ed
I have searched and have not found an answer to this one. I see that most folks have been happy with Wolf KVB223M primers. I just picked up from a friend some Wolf primers which are apx 4 years old. They have been stored inside an A/C home so I am not worried about the age. My question is what do I have and are they any good. The box is mostly Red and they are labeled “Small Rifle - .223Rem” and the only number I find on the box is “ACSR - .223Rem”. Are these things any good? I will be using them in a JP15 which will group good ammo to .5” w/o issue. Are these primers capable of this type of accuracy? BTW my load is LC Brass, 69gr Nosler Custom Competition bullets, with 24.6grs of TAC and Winchester primers. I am running low on Winchester primers and like everyone else cannot get any more at this time.
AWLAZS
I think that is what the old label used to say.
blairmckenzie1
if the cup is gold its a small rifle magnum (5.56), if its closer to pink its a small rifle. the only difference is cup hardness. I've shot thousands, never had a problem
Steve RA
Try them, only way to really find out.
dbletap_ed
Try them, only way to really find out. I need to but it will be a few weeks before I can get to the rifle range and I need to decide if I am going to buy them from my friend or give them back. Also it is hard to waste components right now testing.
