Vortex pst vs Burris xtr 1-4 2013 opinions

So I have a chance to get a Burris xtr 1-4 with a larue mount for about 650 or spend the extra money and get a brand new vortex pst 1-4. Looking to some pliking and maybe 3 gun

Some people really like the XTRs, but I thought they were too cluttered. I went the the Burris MTAC 1-4 (about $500 w/mount) and much prefer it over the XTRs. By Monday, there will probably be some hot new scope everyone will want and you might be able to pick up some used ones inexpensively.

Not exactly the VXR PATROL, but the new Leupold mark ar 1.5-4 firedot SPR. The eye relief/box is very forgiving, excellent glass & the firedot size changes w/ intensity. The glass seems better than 4x which I attribute to the clarity. I'm very happy w/ it for the price.

I used a XTR 1-4 for 2 years until I got my Z6i last year. I like the Burris and it now sits on my backup rifle. I wish the reticle were a little brighter but I just got used to it as is. It served me well in quite a few matches and held it's zero.

They are both excellent choices I have had ecellent luck with my Vortex optics but am also looking to the MTac because of the simpler reticle the Vortex is quite busy.
