Convert SP pocket brass to LP?

I've looked through the archives and haven't found this topic, so I'm going to guess that the answer is 'No'.

I pick-up brass from our range whatever gets left behind. I'm steadily growing my SPP 45ACP inventory. I'd guess it's about 2/3 the size of the LP collection.

Can SP brass be reamed out to LP and be safe?

Why, just use small primers. Not sure it would be a good idea, if you look into different brands of brass, there is quite a difference in the way the metal surrounding the primer pocket is shaped. Some of the shapes don't look like there would be enough metal left around the primer pocket to be real safe.

Sure - it could be done

but not worth the effort

or swap them with someone for cases with large pockets

Smash the SP cases flat, cursing them with a vile imprecation, spit on them, and condemn them to the same level of hell as .380 cases.

Used to trash small primed 45 brass but started keeping them. Several people here load on a 650 with just the small primer system so trade them out for large. Makes set up time faster going from say 9mm to 45acp. Another plus most that I've picked up is once fired.
