racine
I curious about trying this load in my G 35. I know this belongs in the reloading section but thought I'd get more response as it's more of a Glock question. So I'm curious about trying this combo of KKM supported barrel, Federal Primers, VV 310 and Moly Bullets of 180-200 gr to make major. Any suggestions from those that have tried it? WHAT WOULD BE THE LONGEST I CAN LOAD THIS IN MY GLOCK FOR RELIABILITY? Appreciate and suggestions or info you can share, thanks... Racine
Flexmoney
I think the max OAL that will go thru the mags is supposed to be around 1.165, I'd stop at 1.150-1.155 OAL Let us know how your fast powder/heavy bullets experiment goes.

Custom Glock Racing
If you are using 140 basepads I have found anything longer than 1.125 to be unreliable. 200s in a short OAL glock is a risky combo especially with a really fast powder like 310. I would strongly advise against it.
chp5
If you are using 140 basepads I have found anything longer than 1.125 to be unreliable. I've had good luck with 1.135 as well. Too much OAL length and the rounds get stuck in the mags.
Flexmoney
My OAL for 40's is 1.130-1.135. Never had a problem there (Dawson & Taylor Freelance are the pads I currently have in use). I really ahven't tried to test to see how far out I can go with OAL...I was repeating what I've heard online. <not a great thing to do>
Flexmoney
I should also add that I would advise extreme caustion trying to load 310 in the 40.
Custom Glock Racing
I used to load to 1.135 but occaisonaly got issues due to OAL varience. Since going to 1.125 zero problems.
Mad Scientist
been runing KKM barrels for a while now and can report good luck with 1.135 " loads. Been using Taylors and lightnin strike pads. Make sure the brass you run is not long as the KKM barrels are chambered on the short side. I use 180 HP zeros with a splash of tight group. supper soft and flat. 167 pf. With Tight group on 7 diferent chronos the power factor has not varied .5 pf in 5 diferent states with temps from 70, 98 from sea level to the carolinas.
