JP trigger compatibility and compensators in 9mm AR?

Just picked up a Colt 6951 flat top 9mm AR-15. These come with an M16 hammer and a ramped bolt.

Any reason a JP trigger won't work?

Also, any issues with running yellow springs on primer ignition?

Also, is a compensator worth putting on a 9mm AR?

I have a JP trigger in my 9mm, and have had no issues. You should be fine there.

I tried a smith brake at one point on the rifle, and saw no difference with or without it. When I shoot the rifle in local matches, I often have several targets with 1 ragged hole instead of 2 or the 2 shots form a figure 8. I don't think there is a need for comp on a 9mm.

JP trigger will work fine, I run one in my 9mm AR. The trigger spring you'll have to try, I run a red spring, it makes the trigger light enough for that platform . You really don't get enough gas from a 9mm in that long barrel to make a comp effective.

Yes on the JP. Be aware that your rifle likely has a large pin trigger group.

Negative. Small 0.154" stainless hammer and trigger pins.

Also comes with a ramped bolt and M16 hammer.

Interesting! My Colt 6450 purchased new a couple years ago has large stainless pins. Just when you think you have something figured out.....
