Nimitz
A captured spring guide rod and an uncaptured spring guide rod? My G34 came with the captured version but when I switched to a SS guide rod & lighter weight spring from Glockworx is was an uncaptured spring. Is one 'better' than the other for some specific application or is this just a Ford vs Chevy thing ...?
Sarge
Uncaptured rods make it easy to swap out springs. Captured rods make assy easier.

Nimitz
Thx, those were the things that were 'obvious' to me when I got it but I wasn't sure if there was some deeper reason for the difference ....
OUshooter
Spend 30min on your hands and knees in the living room looking for parts and you will know the difference.
Nimitz
at first I thought the uncaptured spring was going to be a pain in the neck but since I've been doing it often it's no longer a big deal & changing springs is a snap ...
