Looks for Range

  1. I'm pretty proud of how this match as grown since it's rebirth, and damn proud to be a small part of it. If you haven't signed up you will miss out. Sign up before you're the one sitting around in winter and your comrades are regaling the good times that were had and you weren't there.
  2. That's odd Rowdy. I had someone else with a similar issue on the fee payment. This link should get you there. Please feel free to email me gagoode@yahoo.com if you have any other problems. https://www.paypal.me/OklahomaCityGunClub/100

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you on the range in May! Match BOD: Greg Goode - Match Director Cary Rowton - Range Master Chad Stanton - Assistant Range Master
  4. Greetings Shooters, There have been a few hiccups with PS registration and squadding, but I'm working to iron those out. Please don't hesitate to email me if you have any issues. We are working hard to keep making this match better every year. We have some very crafty stage designers in our coterie, which should make for a fun match. Stay tuned....more to come! Greg Goode MD 2018 Oklahoma Section Championship
  5. If we get the required number of entrants, then PCC will be a recognized division. I've had enough folks ask and I'm on board for supporting the BOD in their decisions to grow our sport.
  6. There are a few spots left. If you can't shoot on Sat and need to shoot with staff on Friday send me an email or pm and we will discuss. Dear Competitors, Amazing custom 2016 Red Dirt Rumble - Oklahoma State Championship Match Jerseys from TechwearUSA are now available for purchase. Made in the USA with their proprietary performance Techstatic fabric, these Crew-Necks are $50 each + shipping. Please place your order directly with TechwearUSA at http://techwearusa.com/shirts-for-sale/
  7. The matchbook has been released and is available at the link below along with the signup link. http://www.okcgunclub.org/16_sectional.html Also, water will be provided and as many pop up shade covers as I can wrangle up. It should prove to be a good time.
  8. I dug around a bit, but didn't find what I was looking for to answer my question. We have several Kindles we use for sign-in, but even though a shooter is in last month's match their info doesn't populate when I enter their last name. Some of small kindle's that we use for scoring have most every shooter I could think of that has come to our matches. But the bigger one that just gets used for sign-in is missing lots of names. For example when I dig through older matches on the big kindle I'm in lots of the match results, but when I set up a Test match and try to add myself it doesn't pull my info. Any ideas? Having to type in all that info for >80 people gets old real fast.
  9. I see lots of glock porn with holes in slides. I'm looking for a GlockSmith that appreciates what Gaston envisioned with some additional functionality. Flare wears me out, I just want function. Forward serrations that match the rear factory ones, and top serrations for single hand manipulation. What shops are around that can do the job and aren't in a 2yr fan boi waiting line?
  10. If 1911's were allowed to play in Production, then maybe we could finally answer the "gun vs. skill" debate (sarcasm inserted). Let's face it those CZ and Tanfo triggers vs John Browning vs striker design would answer some questions. Scrap L10 and SS and let those guns play in Prod. Let's concentrate the heat into a few divisions to see who is the best.
  11. Well, we got a provisional division "just to collect data", which isn't recognized at Level II or higher, that already has a 2016 Nats slated, so why not take a Pistol only competition and allow Rifles? What could go wrong?
  12. 10.5.2 If at any time during the course of fire, a competitor allows the muzzle of his handgun to point rearwards, that is further than 90 degrees from the median intercept of the backstop, or in the case of no backstop, allows the muzzle to point up range, whether the handgun is loaded or not (limited exceptions: 10.5.6). First of all there is no "180 rule". I know I know that's what everyone calls it but that isn't in the rule book. Besides 10.5.2 takes care of it. If anyone would like to argue a counterpoint using "freestyle" as a basis have fun but it's a moot point. The fact this thread went more than 1 page is somewhat astonishing.
  13. I'm also curious why those would not be considered legal USPSA targets. If the range is muddy I'd much rather have hinged plates than those stuck in the mud. Lots of clubs cant afford all steel to be poppers. My post is a slight divergent.
  14. USPSA is not a gear race, yet it is a mental race. If your gear works and is safe, then you are good. Beyond that? Get fast and accurate, quickly. "when you first start, go slow and get your hits" and you will finish close to the bottom. However, if when you first start and you go fast and don't get your hits you will still finish close to the bottom. Use your dryfire and your other practice to get as fast and accurate as you can as quickly as you can, if you want to be competitive. If your goal is to have fun and just shoot, then all this is moot. If you want to get better, then get a class from a good instructor.
  15. Final results http://www.okcgunclub.org/action-pistol-scores.html Again, Thank you to the competitors. The staff worked their tails off, but it's the shooters that make it go. We really appreciate everyone coming out and look forward to hosting everyone next year. If you couldn't make it this year, then pencil us in for next year we would love to have you.
