waynes_world_45
Just got a M&P 22 for training...I shoot an XDM so my holster won't work Which blade tech should I order, the 9/40 or the 45? I've read a bit of contradictory info on this. Any other pearls of wisdom from the more experienced M&P 22 users? Thanks in advance Wayne

SlowShooter
Any other pearls of wisdom from the more experienced M&P 22 users? I have been shooting it a lot, everything I have to say is here: YouTube: "M&P22 the .22 version of M&P 9/40 pistol (Part 3) in-depth review after 2000 rounds I talk about holster fit some work (Fobus) and some do-not. Travis224
You need the 9/40. I just bought a blackhawk sportster standard concealment holster that was intended for a xd/xdm 4"/3.8" and fits perfectly with my m&p 22 and 9mm. Cost me 26$ at scheels and is perfect for range use. For actual concealment though id use something with a safety catch.

Nice review....is the video old? I ordered 4 extra mags from midway and got them in 2 days...albeit 10 rounders, but that's fine
SlowShooter
Yeah that was from Sept 2011, magazines were impossible to find back-then. the gun was useless (from a competition standpoint) for several months while I waited on my back-order of magazines from S&W. I won't make that mistake again: if I can't get extra magazines then "no sale".
waynes_world_45
Got the 9mm and it's just a tad tight, but I'll loosen the screws and I'm sure it will be perfect....now if it would quit raining on practice night.......
VMaxSplat
For anyone considering Safariland... The Safariland ALS Paddle holster is my new favorite holster for general use. Unfortunately, the M&P22 fits VERY tight in them. I have two of the ALS holsters (weapon mounted light and standard) and the 40FS fits perfectly in both, but not the 22. I wish S&W would rethink the dimensions of the M&P22 and make it exactly the same as the 9/40.
saab
The Comp-tac M&P 9mm full size/long paddle holster fits perfectly. The Pro slide is narrower and that holster will not work with the .22.
