Rosshooting
Guys, what do you think for Hogue rubber grips? As an experienced IPSC and IDPA shooters do you think that they are suitable for tournament shooting and what will be better: to apply a skateboard tape on my production type Sig 226 or to change the grips with Hogue's? Thanks!
3quartertime
Rubber grips are great for guys that play with loads and shoot to experiment. (ie... my father) I think you will find that a non-skid surface is the choice if you are serious about positive griping in all conditions. Chriss Grube
If they fit your hands great but they generally don't. I tried them and went back to skate tape.
9MX
3M non-skid tape is a better option
Kingman
I like them on my 1911's for target shooting, and my heavy recoling revolvers. Anything for action I don't think I would use them. They start to ge somewhat slick once they get wet the smallest amount.
Larry White
The gun always seems to feel squirmmy with the houge grips. Tape would be better. Larry
