czambesi Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 I am buying a shellholder for loading .308 and normally it is a #3. The bass pro I am driving to is out of stock on them as of today. The said to look up to see if a number 4 or 5 will work? I am not making the drive until Sat. Is this ok pratice to do or should I just try to order online and ship to store? There doesn't appear to be a "standard", as far as the distance from the top of the shell holder to the face area the case sits in. I've seen a lot of variances there.
