xd1977
Not quite sure and can't find a clear and definitive answer, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me why the "Edge" trigger kit from Glocktriggers.com is illegal for the SSP division in IDPA. As far as I can see, all safeties are engaged and there are no visual external modifications to the trigger as stated in the IDPA rulebook. Can anyone help before I go out and buy the wrong trigger...
Steve Koski
Probably because the trigger has a visible over travel stop, or the trigger pre-travel has been altered (also visible externally). I met the glocktriggers.com guy. He seems to know the rules.
want2race
The pretravel is reduced, the trigger safety is modified to still remain functional. That mod is external.
waktasz
I've seen one...the rear tab of the trigger safety that hits the frame is cut down similar to the Vanek Super trigger which is also not SSP legal. Makes a great ESP trigger though.
jlweems
There is a slight modification to part of the trigger causing it to sit more vertically. Perhaps the folks at IDPA will deem it SSP legal, but until they do, play it safe and use it in ESP.
