  1. Instead of velcroing it to a hat brim, how about veclroing it to your hearing protection?

    Skimmer Trigger

The Skimmer does not have a forward set sear like the Apex kit. The Skimmer has the pre-travel removed so that there is very little take-up.
  3. I can shoot the 34 accurately, but I can't run it with the speed that I can the 17. I'm using an SSP legal 17 in both SSP and ESP.
  4. There is a slight modification to part of the trigger causing it to sit more vertically. Perhaps the folks at IDPA will deem it SSP legal, but until they do, play it safe and use it in ESP.
  5. Actually, the rule book states in multiple places that the same capacity magazine must be used throughout the match.
  6. That is presuming that 8 round mags are being used. A shooter using 7 rounders would be legal at 7+1. Just clarifying this so folks won't think that a 7 rounder is not legal.
  7. I have shot in a sanctioned match where DMG was allowed, but it was not a state championship match. I don't know how they went about the sanctioning stuff.
  8. I wouldn't have tried to "Grandbag" the classifier early on and get classified as a Sharpshooter in SSP before I was really ready, only to come in DFL in SSP SS at my first several majors. If you're thinking about shooting a major go ahead and DO IT! They're lots of fun and you'll meet lots of great folks, and the more majors you shoot the better you'll get at shooting majors. I'm sort of in the same bag. I looked at the classifier and what I knew my skill set to be and was not satisfied with classifying at anything less than EX in SSP. I then classified with my SSP legal gun in ESP as an SS. Depending upon the day, I'm either a so so EX or a very good SS.
  9. I started shooting IDPA in 9/10. I shot a sanctioned match, the Wheelgun Championship, in 5/11.
  10. Y'all are assuming that this development was his choice and that it is shooting related. Glock was not only his shooting sponsor; they were his employer as well.
  11. There is a lot of opportunity when you are a free agent of his caliber. I doubt he is very concerned. Just remember my post...
  12. Personally, I don't believe a major sponsor is picking him up...
  13. There is a difference between the range where all of those matches are held and the actual IDPA club. The range is South River Gun Club in Conyers/Covington. The range hosts the largest GSSF match in the circuit as well as many other leagues and major matches. The Greater Atlanta Defensive Pistol Association is a club that hosts matches all over the metro Atlanta area as well as the GA state IDPA match, which is held at South River.
  14. I am in no way accusing you of altering your score sheet. Repeat, I am in no way accusing you of altering your score sheet!! Is that the sheet that went in to scorekeeper or a carbon copy that was given to you? A scribble mark could be made on the original after the sheets have been separated and such a mark would not show on a carbon copy. Such a mark could be intentional, or it could be completely accidental. Again, I am in no way accusing you of altering your score sheet.
  15. I think that a FTDR is appropriate for profanity depending on the circumstances. If something just slips out during a stage, it's a bit more understandable than it being in response to getting a procedural. It's also different if someone is muttering to them self versus yelling out something. Perhaps the MD or an SO giving a discreet reminder would be in good order prior to a FTDR prior to giving a FTDR. Regardless, a shooter should know that they got a FTDR or any other penalty. It isn't something they should find out later when they see the scores.
