Question on XDM magazine cleaning/maintenance

The XDM 5.25 looks like a nice platform. How do the mags do at the matches? Do you clean them very often? If you clean them what is the process? Do you take them apart when you clean them? I have been running a G34 and the mags run dirty, how does the XDM compare?

There should be no need to clean them during a match unless you drop them in the mud. We have testing mags we have never cleaned.

Ive been shooting an XDM 40 for a couple years. I have a strict cleaning schedule. I brush the inside of my mags every 3 or 4 months, whether they need it or not. Seriously my mags have never failed due to being dirty or for any other reason.

I replaced the springs once and knocked the dirt out while I was there. For the most part shake the big stuff out, load and shoot.

In all seriousness, gun cleanliness is a virtue. Some people do and some don't. Some fall somewhere in the middle. I tend to clean the mags inside and out every other match and prior to a major match. Also, if it was a particularly muddy rainy day they get cleaned.
