GregJ Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) My 16yr old son and I went to our first USPSA match this weekend at the Fredericksburg Rod and Gun Club (Fredericksburg, Va). I've shot IDPA for a few years, but this was my son's first match, other than one bowling pin match a couple of months ago. The folks on our squad were very friendly and helpful, as were the ROs. It was a full course, with 7 stages. My son had several Alphas, and did extremely well. I managed to clear Stage 5 with all Alphas (IIRC 12-14 targets), so I'm pretty stoked about that !! (I hope they don't mind me saying "We" because we're all USPSA) Seriously, you and your son having a good time is worth everything to your host club (Fredericksburg). Are you going back next month?
