EkuJustice
I know your suppose to tumble the brass outside due to the lead in the cases but is there any problem doing this indoors with live rounds?
DWFAN
I wouldnt think there would be a problem. I used to. Until I saw a jam last week at Bianchi caused by media stuck in the hollow point that came out some point during cycling binding things up. I'd rather just lay the loaded rounds on a scrap towel, fold it over and rub the lube off of them. Faster than plucking the media out of the JHP's with a pick. Blurryvisions
its just fine... wont hurt a thing, theres been a question like this before, some guy tumbled rifle and pistol bullets for 24 hours and they chronoed the same as non tumbled rounds... people tend to over think things, i say keep it simple, i tumble all my bullets after i load them except for hollow points cause the tips fill full of dust... medalguy
Same here, been tumbling loaded ammo for nearly 40 years (different ammo not the same ones!!) and never experienced any kind of problem, although I never thought about media getting stuck in the bullet point cavity! colt
I know a guy that has a gun shop that loads the brass and then cleans it. I am sure he has been shooting competition 30 to 40 years and still dose it that way. The only loaded rounds I tumble are open 9mm. Brent
