ncboiler
Would you build an open gun on a long/wide dustcover frame? Why or why not? Any advantages or disadvantages to doing so? Thinking about a build in the coming months and this is one of the options. Thanks.
yoshidaex
2 of my open guns are built on LWDC frames. More material for the scope mount screws to engage.

Aircooled6racer
Hello: I wouldn't do it since they cost more and add more weight up front. I like a quick reacting pistol so for me it would not work well. If you want the weight forward then go ahead and do it. I have learned alot with open pistols in the last year or so. I have learned that what I thought would work does not always work the way you want. I also learned that powder choice, bullet weight and even primer type changes things--sometimes alot. As stated above you can cut the dust cover back if you wish to make it lighter. Thanks, Eric
