DoubleBarrel
Does anyone shoot 45 in 3 gun? I have never shot a 3 gun match and I have a HK45 that i would like to try. I also have other 9mm. Seems the 9mm may be the way to go but just wanted to hear from you guys. Advantages or disadvantages to the 45, specifically the HK45? I know heavy metal but i am thinking of tac irons with 5.56? thanks
DyNo!
I'd leave the .45 at home unless you're shooting heavy metal but if it is all you have - shoot it and have fun!
Tac Ray
My take is you can go shoot a 45 ACP and have a lot of fun and place pretty well. Once you get to the point where the difference between a 45 ACP and a 9mm is a meaningful difference in your time then you'll know what it's worth to you. Shotgun reload time, rifle accuracy, gun transitions, and pistol speed all contribute significantly. You can go a long ways with a 45 ACP, and have a whole lot of fun in the process! Of course, I'm shooting a USP45 and can't wait to use the speed excuse to buy a new gun
frankge
I shoot my USP .45 in 3 gun for fun even though I have a G34 for USPSA
racine
Unlike some other competitors, I'm in it for the fun of the game. I run what I've got be it 1911, Glock, HK or whatever. Winning isn't everything.
