Wanted
I orded an EGW "U" die, I have questionfor users. Since the die is a hair shorter, will I have to re-adjust my seating, powder and crimp die? Or is it too little to wory about? I use a Dillon 550. mscott
The "U" die shouldn't effect any of the others ... at least I don't remember making any other adjustments. Wouldn't hurt to check of course.
Bob DuBois
Should only adjust the U die. I like to cut a small strip of paper to use as a pull gauge. The die should be as close to the shell plate as possible without hitting. It's a carbide die and brittle if the die is adjusted to hit it could break the carbide ring in the die. With the handle down, turn the die in till you can just pull the paper out from under the die. Your other dies should keep there adjustment. gng4life
Yeah, it's important to do what Bob said. I've broke dies before since I didn't adjust them correctly. This will not affect your other dies...I've had my U-dies in my 550 for a few years and love them!

Wanted
I thought I'd follw up here. I recieved the die,got it setup. Man it makes a difference. Where Iwas having some cases that would not go in my chamber (drop in) without a little push, they all so far drop right in and right out. Thanks for the help.
