Where to send gun for upgrades?

Wanted to send my m&p off to get the grip stippled, remove area around mag release, trigger job, and maybe optic sights.

You have several choices: Apex Tactical, Dan Burwell, Springer Precision, and Bowie Tactical among others. Yes, Scott also works on M&P's in addition to XD's. Don't know if it is a consideration or not for you but does it matter how long you want your pistol tied up? If it does you may want to check turnaround times of the gunsmith's listed above. I chose Scott at Springer Precision because he does such good work on the XD's I send him and gets them back to me quickly-within a week after he receives them from me.

I only have experience with Apex but they worked miracles with my M&P and it was only gone for a week.

Bowie might be close enough for you to visit and check out his work. I picked up "Custom Combat Handguns" recently (a special edition" from Harris Outdoor Publications and the cover story is on Bowie and a personally owned optically sighted/textured M&P (drool!) Seen a couple Robarized Glocks..Kool also.

I just got mine back from Dan Burwell and it turned out great. I think he had it for 2 weeks and that included the time in transit. I did the competition trigger job and shark skin stippling.

what does the shark skin stippling look like and is it medium or rough texture?
