Raindog
I'm thinking of switching to 45 from my 627. I've heard some dashes are worse than others. I found one post that said avoid the Model of 1988 first year but nothing about any of the others. I've heard that some have loose chamber throats that effect accuracy. Anyone have advice on which dashes are less desirable?
Carmoney
The chamber throat issue affects the 25-5s and perhaps the 25-2s. In my experience, the 625s are all reasonably (but not incredibly) accurate.
10mmdave
No need to "avoid" any of them, if the price is right just check them out thorughly. If your buying off the internet there usually is a 3 day inspection, or ask for one one before you buy. Undersized chambers, mis-matched throats, floating hands, can all be made good if things aren't too out of whack. Good luck in your search
