Seth
Back in May, Mike sent me this picture of his 6" gun done in Copper Canyon...looks pretty similar: That's the gun that I played with at Area 8. The finish was so cool it made me consider changing my hard chromed gun to this.
Will_M
The gun Bobby Keigans had a barrel done up with the Copper Canyon coating on the gun that he gave away for the Alabama Sectional. It's definitely a cool looking finish.
Jon Merricks
The Gun was then Cobalt plated by Daniel Hidalgo of PLATE-TACULAR, LLC with polished flats and mat top and frame. The barrel was then given the "copper canyon" treatment for a little additional flair.

Chuck Anderson
That's the website for the Cobalt plating. The "Copper Canyon" is done by Eifeler Laffer. Not sure if Matt is using them or not anymore. I just got my gun back and it's black chromed (which looks awesome).
Jon Merricks
Yeah I must have red too much into that. Thanks for clearing that up Chuck.
jmbaccolyte
How does a TiAlN coated slide work with a hard chromed frame? Is there any galling or does it cause one coating to wear out faster than normal? Also how does the TiAlN coated slide work sliding against the hardened steel inserts in a polymer frame? Any excessive wear in that situation? Edited September 2, 2013 by jmbaccolyte
