AGlock36
Well the question is- Is .40 cal from the box, i.e. Atlanta Arms, Winchester, ect, ect,ect Major or Minor Power Factor? I ask this merely for the fact that I am going to try to shoot my first USPSA match the middle of next month and have not started reloading YET. I will as soon as the funds are avail but for the time being I am going to just have to buy factory. Thanks in advance for any and all replies. Happy Shooting Paul Franklin The Question Man. n2299
FWIW I chrono some 180gr WinClean last summer. They average around 975fps out of my SV.
Flexmoney
I think the Winchester 165's and 180's make Major. I would chrono those before going to a big match...but, I'm pretty sure you get Major out of them in a Glock. Jeff Maass has some data on his site for factory ammo, I think. http://home.columbus.rr.com/jmaass/ipscload.htm
ErikW
Winchester USA Q-white-box 165s were around 1050 fps from my 5" STI bbl. I think most factory 40 makes Major, but I know some doesn't. The Fiocchi brown box load perhaps? (That's why they make a red box load named Major.)
