Moss_Berg5150
Do you use or are you familiar with what grips hogue makes that fit this pistol specifically? Are any other "lower cost gips out there I should consider as well? Thanks for you help. Edited October 20, 2010 by Moss_Berg5150
Nealio
Define "lower cost" ? I thought I saw some Hogue wood ones somewhere for $50, but I can't remember which of the billions of gun sites it was on... Henning has stock walnut grips for the Match for $85. I have them on my match and they work great.

I have also been bouncing around the idea of sanding down the stock grips and using paint and skateboard tape to ge the grip I'm looking for... more to come on that! greyling
I searched all over for some grips that would fit. All I found was henning, who's a great guy. hogue, czcustom, and everybody else only makes grips for small frame guns. After much hand wringing, I sprung for henning, and they're nice, but I really wish he would make them out of plastic and sell them for $45. or at least make them a little bigger so they covered at least the same frame area as the stock grips. I couldn't find any pictures of his grips on a gun online, so I'll post a couple. The regular grip width measured out 1.35 inches, and Henning's grips reduced it to 1.2 inches. You need to buy the Henning's torx screws. the factory screw heads are too big for Hennings's holes. Or you can try turning your heads down or going to the hardware store. Moss_Berg5150
Thanks greyling those pics really help. I too wish there was a more affordable option for these grips as well. Who knows maybe if we can create enough demand we can get a 40-60 dollar non-wood option.
nbraybrook
How much do the henning grips weight? I got a new match and it weights to much for IDPA. I was looking to the henning grips to get my weight down to 43oz.
Moss_Berg5150
I'm not sure what the weight is, but I spoke with Henning this morning and he is awesome. You should give him a shout, he has a super quick response time and he can get you the details you are looking for. I can't wait to get my grips!!! Moss_Berg5150
Not sure of the weight still, but I will update thr post when I can weigh them, but let me tell you that they are super light, super slim and they make a hell of a difference for me. The stock grips made the gun clunky for me!
