Husband and I got back into shooting BIG TIME in July 08. A few months later we drank deeply from the pitcher of blue koolaid that's always out at our favorite indoor range and now we reload almost everything we shoot on a Dillon 550B.

We shoot IDPA 2-3 times a month. I'm a still a Novice but not for lack of trying. This past January I took the SO class and that's added a whole 'nother dimension to our local matches that I really like. I enjoy being around and talking with gun folks as much as I like shooting.

My current favorite pistol is an XDm 3.8 9mm. I like the slimmer grip but I haven't given up my Glocks (G26 & G19). I have two favorite rifles, S&W M&P 15T ... configured for CQB and a DPMS Panther LR-308 with a 24" bull barrel for benchrest fun. I got very familiar with it over the winter breaking it in.

I've taken several firearms classes but my favorites have to be Fighting From a Vehicle (you can't beat shooting through windshields from INSIDE the car) and the two carbine classes taught by a member of our IDPA group who is active military. [Ready ... UP!]

I really like shooting and realoding and will shoot "almost" anything at least once.

I am also new here. When looking at the BEginner forum I notice your screen name. My wife is also a knitter and an avid shooter. I often joke with her saying that she has more money in knitting supplies than we have in fire arms. Unfortunately she has expensive tastes in both. It always good to see couples that enjoy shooting sports together.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow forum newbie.

LOL! I'm a bit of a wool and needle snob. :D And who would EVER suspect a knitter of all things, to have OMG! a gun and be able to defend him or herself with it.

I have a couple of good friends who were the most liberal people in the Bootheel before they moved to Lawrence and became the most conservative people in Lawrence! Neat town to visit on a Saturday night.

Welcome to the forum.
