Warrior Knitter Posted September 22, 2010 Share Posted September 22, 2010 Husband and I got back into shooting BIG TIME in July 08. A few months later we drank deeply from the pitcher of blue koolaid that's always out at our favorite indoor range and now we reload almost everything we shoot on a Dillon 550B. We shoot IDPA 2-3 times a month. I'm a still a Novice but not for lack of trying. This past January I took the SO class and that's added a whole 'nother dimension to our local matches that I really like. I enjoy being around and talking with gun folks as much as I like shooting. My current favorite pistol is an XDm 3.8 9mm. I like the slimmer grip but I haven't given up my Glocks (G26 & G19). I have two favorite rifles, S&W M&P 15T ... configured for CQB and a DPMS Panther LR-308 with a 24" bull barrel for benchrest fun. I got very familiar with it over the winter breaking it in. I've taken several firearms classes but my favorites have to be Fighting From a Vehicle (you can't beat shooting through windshields from INSIDE the car) and the two carbine classes taught by a member of our IDPA group who is active military. I often joke with her saying that she has more money in knitting supplies than we have in fire arms. Unfortunately she has expensive tastes in both.
