  2. i have an Ariens that is about 20 some years old. I dont want to jinx myself its still working I don't have experience with any other brands
  3. I stand corrected-- Thank You. I remembered it was the loop but got it backwards
  4. It would seem that the trigger bar modification would be a better option other than the frame would you be able to close the loop that the sear contacts a small amount to get the clearence?
  5. I am a lefty. I don't switch it. I like useing my trigger finger, plus thats how I have done it for a lot of years. I tried in a MP to switch it. That just didn't feel right.
  6. I made my own for now...... gutted a 17rd mag(illegal in NJ), and epoxied the baseplate on, and painted it blue.... thats a good idea! whish I would have thought of that
  7. I use a MP with the mag safety. I use one of the blue training mags -- I can't remember the name of the company but the name RINGS seems to ring a bell. Anyway its a mag that cant be loaded so I use it for matches and dry fire
  8. since you all ready have a 9mm, you might as well stick with that and invest your money in ammo. Untill you are ready to try something else. I wouldnt switch pistols just for calibre. just my $.02
  9. why would changeing the hammer( without putting in a polished one) make the trigger better?
  10. Del

    Glock 34 or 35

red dot IDPA- not allowed USPSA- only in OPEN
  11. I use a 1911 airsoft. I have about 5,000 rounds fired. I haven't had any problems.
  12. I would say the 22 conversion. For the reasons the others stated. I think the laser would be distracting, since you would be looking at the laser not the sights.
  13. I am also a lefty and use the standard release with my trigger finger. I like it.
  14. Did you try a Smith & Wesson M&P with the small insert? It would allow him to shoot production. I have shot only a couple of Glocks with the reduction. They did feel different, but they worked. I cant remember if recoil felt differnt or not
  15. dcarter - thanks for the link I will use that.
  16. I have one that will get some rust on it. I find that it will come off with a little weapon shield and elbow grease
  17. Look at the bright side... you executed your plan flawlessly! Another positive, is at least you were consistent. And you probably wont make the mistake again. hopefully..... 'all ways look on the bright side of life'
  18. "When you you loose the need to be fast, that's the hook. " I find there is for me difference between going fast and hurrying. for example I can only transition from a target to another target so fast to get a shot that I have sighted, and called, but I can swing my pistol over and not have it set up thereby rush to get a shot off, while hurrying to the next target that I cant call an A hit for sure.
