M-Bear
I like Raniers the best. Montana gold and PD are also on my use list. I will buy which ever I get the best deal on at the moment.
Notar
I like MG, my club has bought in bulk before and it saved us all a little bit of bling.
Alaskapopo
I hate plated bullets. Never had good accuracy with them. I prefer jacketed bullets or even cast lead to plated even with the smoke. Pat
joecichlid
I disagree with all the negativity posted about Berry's. I can't speak for the other brands, but I would have no hesitation loading Berry's plated... +1 I'm sure that some Open Division shooters may push a bullet faster than plated are supposed to go, which is about 1200fps maximum, but otherwise there is no reason to worry. I shot them in Vegas at the Open Nationals out of my STI, Berry's 124 RN DS, made Major with a 169.2 PF. I had no problem pushing them to the 1360 FPS range and never saw a single keyhole or signs of shed plating. YMMV Joe W.
Cardinal
Must be an American problem... Plated bullets are used a lot here in Scandinavia and Europe, including in Open. berry', Frontier and a plated bullet from Sweden/Finland are probably the most used bullets here. Grauffell also use Frontier for his training ammo. I've been using Frontier and berry's 124gr in my bedell Shorty without problems. JHP/FMJ cost about three times as much as plated here.... MemphisMechanic
BlackBulletsInternational's moly 147s ran through my Glock34 juuuuust fine. Ate 'em like candy. You'll have a little more gunk in the gun from the moly residue - with any brand of Moly - but they're good ammo.
