alpha-charlie
Having been blessed with small little digits, I really have to twist my hand around the grip to hit the magazine release on my XD9 (my production gun). I have an oversized extended release on my XD45 (carry gun) and can hit that with no problem. Are there any oversized extended mag releases out there that are legal for production division? mdschappell
Unfortunately, unless it is a factory part from a Springfield gun on the approved production gun list, you are outta luck.
bunsen27
wait.....you can have an extended mag release on the xdm and it is still legal for production?Yes, just like you can put the mag release from the G34 in a G17. You must install one that matched the factory extended mag release profile (like ours.) I believe Springer Precision makes one that is Production legal, since it has the same profile as the factory one. The same question was asked and answered recently in the "XDM 9mm what changes to make" thread. I'm assuming that the mag release is identical for the XD and XDM. I can't recall all the parts they share in common. Hope that helps. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82954&view=findpost&p=1263605 http://www.springerprecision.com/

alpha-charlie
I got the same one but in stainless steel. Was just looking to see if an oversized one was legal, but that would be different than the factory profile so I gues I'm outta luck on that one. Thanks tho. Loves2Shoot
The one in Field photo is legal, because it is a Springfield OEM spec for their factory extended release.
