gunz213
I have tried the search function, but I haven't found out too much about STI's aluminum 2011 grips. I was looking to something different for my Tactical 5.0 and I saw that Dawson has them on sale so it piqued my interest.

gunz213
Thanks for the info. It looks like they aren't worth the trouble.
Carmine
I'm keeping my "powder dry" on this issue. I'd like to see STI put out a metal (and stippled grip)....but I'm not holding my breath. I love my STI Eagle...it has almost no original STI parts left on the gun...so STI has room for improvement. Ciao.
stinsonbeach
Just sent my 6" Eagle to Freedom Gun Works yesterday. I wanted to do it myself, but chickened out. Bobby Kiegans said to me: "...that's what we do." Good enough for me! -jb
BigGabe
What would be the advantage of using one of these aluminum grip's. I don't see it.
Chris Keen
Added weight equals less recoil, while at the same time stiffening up the natural flex that a plastic grip allows the frame to move during recoil.
