jasmap
Has anyone tried using a thin aluminum grip on one side and a thick aluminum grip on the other side of their SP01 Shadow? I tested it and I kinda like it. I used the thick grip on my support hand side and the thin on the strong hand side. My reason is that I like the large grips because it feels like I can grip better but I like the thin on the strong side to access the trigger better due to my avg. size hands. Anyone else tried this? burningsquirrels
One guy at my club runs it. I don't remember which is the thick side, but it works for him.
JorDanO
I run a thin aluminum on my strong side and a rubber grip on the weak side.
cas
I tried it. Didn't really feel any better to me, also didn't feel like $160 set of grips.
Walküre
I run a thin aluminum on my strong side and a rubber grip on the weak side. I have run a similar setup here - thin aluminum on the strong side and trimmed black plastic on the other (this is on a TS). I just built up a custom support-side grip with clay - I got the idea from one of Henning's videos on Tanfo tweaks. Had it out at the range this afternoon, and the grip seems to be holding up thus far. Will be running it in a local match this weekend.
