Brand new Limited dropping hammer sometimes

This same issue started happening with my 10mm Match after 800 rounds or so.

When the slide cycles the hammer doesn't stay cocked. However my 10mm's sear was worn. I squared up the sear with a stone and that fixed it. I ordered 2 EGW sears to replace the stock ones on my 2 pistols.

But my 9mm Limited is brand new and is doing this right away. Also the sear seems to not fully engage and the hammer drops when I touch the trigger sometimes (not a full pressure squeeze, just taking up the slack). When the hammer drops without a full trigger pull I don't get a strike mark on my primers (I'm guessing from the firing pin block stopping the pin).

Has anyone else seen this or am I just lucky?

So I tore down the Limited and was watching the sear cage as I pulled the trigger with the safety on. The sear cage would twist and move back about 1/16". Is this normal? Seems like it would be hard to get a consistent trigger pull with the sear cage moving like that.

I'd return the gun to whomever you bought it from and let them address the issues.

I have seen that on EAA. Long ago, the fix for that was to drill and tap

the side of the frame so you can put a screw to hold down the sear cage.

I know I have one tapped in on one of my small frame EAA.

and get it custom work. Talk to Rich he's a nice guy and a hell

of a gunsmith for the EAA.
