Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. What happens when the base of the .223 breaks off in the sizing die? Why would this happen? I've had three cases brake off at the base of the die - luckily had several spare dies. None of the cases had cannalures (blanks). And we're using Dillon lube - much better than One Shot! We're using a 1050 to process brass, loading on another. Thanks all!
  2. Hi all! I have a Win SX2 that I love to shoot for RM3G. My main problem is loading it. It seems that when I load the shells they don't feed directly into the tube. They get caught on the top of the tube at the load gate and I have to let up on it a little to feed into the tube. I've read about welding to lift the gate up to align the feed right. Who, what, where, when, and how much is the question. Thanks for your help!
  3. What load did you use with the XTerminator? I'm having a hard time working up a load for 55g FMJ. OAL 2.260 per the load guide. Just can't get better that 2.5" at 100 yds with an AR that I get .5" at 100 yds all day with handloaded 69g SMK. Can you throw a little kindness? Thanks!
  4. What load do you use? I'm having a hard time working up a load. I'm using Win 55g FMJ, X-Terminator powder, OAL 2.260 as per the load guide, but can't get better than 2.5" at 100 yards in an AR that I get sub .5 MOA all day with my 69g SMK handloads. Little help please. Thanks!

  7. Who was that guy anyway??? Maybe a stage or two not for points. Then we'll see how visible those targets are with irons (stage 7) hahahahaha I was a 1st time RO and took 5th in iron and had a blast! I'll be back next year - with irons!
  8. Grace Ammo has SPP, LPP, and SRP .223 primers. Ordered 25k (no maximum) and got them in about a week. www.graceammo.com

  12. Thanks! Ran the numbers and there's just no money in it. Not to mention the $28k for a commercial loader and $17k for a case processor. Makes the Dillion look like chump change!
  13. Apparently River Ordnance is not responsive and probably no longer active. I've searched all over the web and can't find anyone who will process 223 cases, except one, Scharch. I, like many others, have a few thousand mixed cases, some probably crimped, and don't have the time to process and swage cases for practice rounds, plinker rounds, and for 3-gun. I'd rather spend the time on my long range 223 match rounds. I'm not crying about it, just only so much time in the day.... Why aren't there more processors out there? My only thought is the $8.95 for the flat rate box per thousand cases each way. Any thoughts? Thanks all!
  14. Hi all, I was looking for an aftermarket charging handle for my Winchester Super X2 that was larger than the factory. I've run searches here and on Google. Only mention I found was an old thread to look at Brileys, but couldn't find it there. Any suggestions? It's not a #1 needed priority, just would be nice. Thanks for your help!
