I can't find any load data for the 62 or 70 grain varieties. I was wondering if you guys have tried anything. I have benchmark and varget on hand and my ar is a 20" 1/8 twist.
I have a variable 12# in my 1911 9mm and I like the way it feels. I never tried a normal non variable so I don't know if that would be any better. Anyway I'm getting the parts together to setup a .45 for single stack and was wondering if I should get a 14# variable or regular? Midway says that the variable is for light target loads. 165-170 PF is light for a .45 so would that mean get the variable?
I have some single stack 1911s that I want to put the extended mag release on. It can't be more than 0.2 think per IDPA and can't be the "oversized" veriaty. I would also like one that the button can be taken off and still leave the normal sized release. I was looking at wilson combats but is it really work 30 bucks?
I currently use 3.3 of titegroup under 147 zero JHP and was wondering if I could use 3.2 of titegroup as the master blasters are supposted to be 50-70 fps faster.
I know some of them didn't have a crater so I would say that it did flow back into the hole. I don't know about shearing off but its was a pretty round hole.
That is why I asked. If I can find a good used G35 to play with and add the sights, tape, trigger work then great. If not I'm just going to stick with my 1911s. I mean if I get up to 1k into the glock I might as well stick to the plateform that I'm used to...I still probably get a nice G35 anyway............or a XD 5" in .40
Why? Generally Classifier stages require no more than 8 rounds before a mandatory
reload. If all you want to do is get classified in L10 so you can be classified in
Single Stack, you don't need any 10 rd mags. Use your money to buy more
regular mags---I carry 6 8rd mags when shooting SS, and it's certainly not too
many!
True. I've only shot 2 matches and didn't think about it that way lol
Sorry I didn't mean to kick a dead horse. There is no need to defend what it can do I know what it can do I'm trying to see if it can do what I like lol. The main part of the glock that has kept me from competing with them is the trigger...how can I get it like a SA lol.
Yeah, I reload to maximize I what I can. I could probably get a load for the factory barrel that would be fine. Fiber optics, to me, are a given and I go so far as to want the adjustable FO rears as well.
I'm pretty much a 1911 guy, but I also like glocks/xds. I was thinking of picking up a used 35 to run in limited 10 or limited. I would have to put a magwell on it and probably a new barrel but I'm wondering what all you guys have done and how much. Basically would it be worth it for me to get a g35 or just try to find a used limited 1911?
I know that in SS your only allowed 8 rounds thats no problem. And I'm pretty sure chip and metal form have flush fitting 9rders for 10mm if I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, that is true. I would like to have at least 9. I did ok yesterday against the L10 guys with my 9mm 1911 just lost a bunch of points do to minor and absolutly screwing the classifier stage
Will 9 rounds of 40 fit in 7 round .45 mags or do you have to have the 8rders?
