The Nationals just keeps getting better and better. The stages were as good as any I've seen and this years prize table for Tac-Scope had 24 guns! A big thanks to the match staff, stage builders, and Phil (for taking out the garbage).

The only thing I'd like to see done slightly differently for next year would be a little less rifle/pistol hosing and more technical stuff. Some rules need updated/changed as well, but I think that's already being worked on
Great match overall, thanks to all the hard workers and sponsor that made it possible!

Registration is rolling along well. There are still plenty of openings, but we are about 50% full.

Thats crazy. If I only got to shoot one match / year, this would be it.
Rockcastle is an awesome location (when its not pouring rain or tornadoes) and Andy designs some great stages that will challenge you and get you out of your comfort zone while maintaining a good mix of all guns and hosing vs long range.
Last year was an awesome match and I'm sure this year will be just as good.

The match is at the NRA Whittington Center, in Raton, New Mexico. It could affect whether you fly into Denver or Albuquerque.
If you have to fly into Denver, ship your mags together with the ammo.

How did you mod the slide to get the barrel and comp out?
I really want a TS based Open gun, but I'm not a big fan of the Czech mate and its complete lack of options. Maybe this would be a better way.

Poppers will still be calibrated for minor... so don't go too crazy.
Just mix in some 130pf popper ammo with your 100 pf paper ammo
Be careful - bullets have to COMPLETELY penetrate paper targets to score

If the match is being scored with time-plus, does that mean there will not be any Cronoing, or min/major powerfactor for pistol for 223 rifle?
8.3.5 Power Factors do not apply to Time Plus scoring and there is no minimum power factor.
And as far as I can tell this holds true for all divisions, including HM.
So a chrono doesnt really make sense.

I am in the Manny "black hole" as well. We did a pretty big order first week of January and got everything by the end of February, except for my two cases of 121's. It's a little aggravating since what we order from Manny comes directly from MG. Guys are ordering and getting 121's now but Manny told me he has no idea when I will get mine. Sadly they are all paid for so I can't just shrug it off and order more.I also ordered 6 cases thru Manny in Feb. Was told 3-4 weeks. Haven't heard a word from Manny or Montana gold. Not sure if my order is even in or if I should try to reorder.
I ordered a case of 115 CMJs on Jan 8, still nothing, so its not just you...

will be first time out to this one if I can get registered......I've heard great and horrible stories about hidden targets that aren't painted, and placed on the ground behind trees....looking forward to it!
BRM3G isnt that bad... its never been anything like that mud pistol stage at the Midwest 3-gun back in 2010(?)

I just stopped using Zero a while back, since they always seemed to have issues delivering.
Probably better off sticking to something, or someone, that can deliver...

For the numerically challenged, I calculate the following round count: 196 pistol, 203 rifle, 109 shotgun birdshot, 15 shotgun slugs. No buckshot.
I think you missed 4 plates that are either birdshot or pistol?
What are the probable distances for the longest range rifle targets that appear to be available on 2 of the stages? Are we talking under 350, 450?

Because there is increased demand.
Simple economics.
And less supply.
If you only get 1/3 of the products you used to get from the manufacturer, you wont make as much as you used to even if you double the price.
Sure, there's gouging, but some companies need to raise prices simply to survive, since they're not getting enough product to sell.

Yes, there is a bill in NM. JJ and Denise have been made aware of it. However, let's not polute a match thread with political crap.
Indeed, however it might be worth thinking about for people planning their travel. The CO ban is likely to pass it seems, which also means (AFAIK) that you now can't fly into CO, or even drive through CO, with your mags since FOPA only covers firearms...

I push mine out to 2.251" which gave me the best accuray out of my WOA and JP barrels. You might want to start a little further back though.

I think so. Amateur will be the only place open to us stubborn enough to not shoot TO this year.
If I can just figure out what my third match will be I might sign up...

No disrespect, but it looked like a carbine match on paper. Is it because that range can't go beyond 100 yds, or is it that long range rifle is boring to TV viewers? Hope it isn't the latter.
Heck, I even fast forward my own videos on the long range stages

PV wont even accept BOs anymore.. Figured Id get a BO in so that I'll get stuff when Im about to run out in a year or so, but I guess not...

Which pros had to qualify, the last 16, or the ones not in the top 48 shooting this year?

Or, at least anyone... Their web site and stats have have been a bit of an afterthought, it seems.
