  1. I’ve really wanted to get one of those but don’t like the grips that much, feel like I need to get a milled metal grip, but at that price I should just get something different right ?
  2. It’s definitely difficult at first, my fist match I got DQ’d for a 180 violation by about 5 degrees. I was frustrated at myself but in doing so, it let me always focus and analyze the 180 on every stage I shoot. When you make any mistakes, you will learn to fix them or at least learn to know when your making one.
  3. I’m not heavy heavy recoil or flat primers, it’s kinda odd. It’s actually lighter than my factory ammo from federal which does have flat primers. It may be the lead bullets and all the data I’m finding with that powder(which is not much) is for jacketed bullets but idk why there would be a 30-50 FPS difference in velocity between lead coated and jacketed bullets.
  4. All I’ve been finding in stock at my Cabelas store I work at in VA has gotten TG which I used in my 9mm reloads anyway. But I agree clays is really a fast powder. It’s used for my shotgun reloads and wouldn’t suggest it for pistol as you said. also if anyone here is near the Cabelas in Gainesville VA they will say we don’t know when we get ammo, but it comes in on mondays and fridays.
  5. Thank you Chills, I kind of figured it would be fine as it is, all other questions are probably firearm specific, like my ejection both with factory ammo and reloads, is kinda crazy, it will eject easily 15 feet away if the brass doesn’t fit anything. I will ask some people at the Mach tomorrow about the chrono. THANKS AGAIN to you and everyone on this thread.
  6. You I have about 1/2 pound of class left over from my shotgun loads but I haven’t been able to find it recently in the reloademic.
  7. You know I heard about that fire and never really looked into it. I didn’t know it was in Australia, I couldn’t imagine it was a fire as much as it was an explosion LOL
  8. Well in that case I guess I’m good, if the velocity on my chrono was right then I’m easily making major with this load. And I was shooting at only seven yards but after testing all the rounds were within a 1.5”-2” group, which became one large hole after testing all 40rds of test loads. One weird thing is the ejection, it ejects really far out of the gun, not sure if that’s a CZ issue or an ammo issue since I’m not feeling any heavy recoil or seeing an flat primers on my test load cases. thanks a bunch to everyone that posted replays and helped with this issue. It’s much appreciated.
  9. Sorry I didn’t word that well, I should know that a communications major... but I was told by 38Super to ncrease my crimp by a thou or two, which I did and my crimp measure at exactly .420 now so no real crimp, just flare removal. I’ll see how it shoots tomorrow. I should note that the chronograph, (Caldwell) was under a sun roof or pavilion as I was testing it, so there was no direct sunlight to the chrono as I was testing the loads which I guess is necessary but it was the only place and range that I could use a chrono in my area. Note sure if that makes a difference but the velocity’s presented were consistent.
  10. Thanks for your insight OnePivot, oddly enough, I’m not flattening primers and I too have noticed on my 9mm reloads that TG is a dirty powder. I noticed the recoil is slightly less than factory ammo. Albeit the Federal 165 gr ammo I was previously using (before my equipment shipped from Dillon precision) had flattened primers and some pretty intense recoil. the Federal factory ammo also had some intense muzzle blast and I noticed some flames or blast coming from the chamber as the gun cycled a new round.
  11. Thanks 38super! Especially for replying at this hour. Nice to see another night owl on here lol.
  12. Hello everyone, I’ve been researching a loads for 40 S&W with 180gr RNFP Blue Bullets. Shooting through my CZ TSO using titegroup. Load Info: 4.3gr TG, 1.125 OAL, CCI small pistol primer, Fed/Win mixed brass. I was getting about 980-990 FPS on my Caldwell chronograph at 7yds. mother test loads include: 4.4 gr TG= 997-1000 FPS 4.5 gr TG= approx 1000-1013 FPS my chrono was under an outdoor pavilion roof that my range has, so no direct sunlight to the chrono I was surprised at the velocity and wasn’t sure if it was the chrono or the load. I’ve been unsure about crimp with the outside case diameter being .421-.420. But I have a hard time measuring the crimp and telling whether or not it’s well crimped. ive also been getting some slight burn marks on sides of the cases along with some black specks all over my arms after firing. what may the issue be if there is one? Have any advice for the case burns or speck like residue? thanks for your time Anthony
