  1. Hi, here are some observations for Stage 1:

    - after the beep, try to stay as low as you comfortably can throughout the rest of the stage (don’t hop)

    - when you leave the first position to the second on the right, use your strong hand elbow/arm to gain more momentum leaving the position and get the gun up higher/sooner shooting into position

    - pay a bit more attention in the second position to already prep you strong leg to push out from second to third position, leave more explosively, shoot into position by slowing down 2 steps before entering and getting a bit lower and getting gun up sooner into the third position

    - third/fourth position: transitions and splits can be sooner and faster, lead by your vision (especially on steels)

I wonder if using a sauna at a gym/just sweating would be enough to clear it out?

According to my doctor, going to the sauna absolutely doesn't do anything as far as the lead level in the body is concerned. Taking preventative measures such as wearing an FFP2/KN95-mask, not eating/drinking on range, thoroughly washing hands, take off and wash clothing seperately, etc. will reduce, but not stop lead exposure. "Chelation therapy" is a medical procedure in which you'll get a specific chemical compound injected in your blood stream spread over several hours, that binds with the lead and you pee it out. Depending on the specific lead level, this might be repeated over several weeks. This is only used for very high and serious lead levels in the blood.

  3. Just shot an IPSC HG L2 match today with my primary open division race gun: the Bul Armory SAS 2 Bullesteros in 9mm major. During the last stage I noticed a strange recoil patern ... When I got back home I checked the gun and noticed the grip was moving slightly towards the frame link. I took the original Bul Armory metal grip off and yes, the frame link was broken in 2 pieces (see pictures below). The gun just has 8200 rounds through it and I have chrono'ed recently to PF165. This is now the 3rd time this happened. The previous 2 times was with my training gun Bullesteros. They had to re-weld the broken framelink back on. I check, clean and lube my open race guns after every training and match, to include the presence and tightness of the different screws. This cannot be a coincidence anymore! I reached out to my gun shop, who directed me to the same welder, who repaired my other gun. The metal grip and/or the framelink are clearly flawed. Bul Armory owners beware!

  4. Based on my observations advanced competitors prep or stage their trigger in the last 10% movement of their draw. If you really know your gun and especially your trigger, and you have enough self confidence, this saves time. BTW not only for DA triggers, but also for SA triggers.

  5. Several years ago I switched from C-More RTS 2 to R3XL on my 3 Open Guns. 2 reasons: 1) larger window and 2) excellent warranty, which I already had to use twice because: buttons did not work anymore, dot was gone. No hastle warranty. New R3XL's within 10 working days!

  6. Recoil is based on the sum of the gun's components, the ammo components and the shooter's grip. There are so many variables that affect recoil. I can only recommend to try and test each one on the range to see and feel the difference. Only you can determine whether you like it or not.

  7. Hi guys, based on the "HumbleMarksMan"'s review I decided to switch out my trusted "DAA Backpack/Cart" for the "ZÜCA Backpack Cart LG" and the "RC Backpack" (Note: the large DAA backpack does not fit inside the ZÜCA cart). First impressions: the new cart is much sturdier, easier to personalize/individualize, and easier to transport in the car. More to come later this year ...
