  1. Being a Revo shooter I ALWAYS pick up my brass. If I didn't the moon clip bill would get costly. So speaking as a 100% pick up guy match or practice, I reload them if a bullet will still stay in the big end. Some rules do apply though. I only shoot Remington brass. I have used Winchester but they don't accept the Federal 150 primers as well so I stick with Remington. I shoot 2-7 matches a month, with practice scattered in between. Whenever I get home from shooting, I de-moon and tumble the brass. When I have time while watching TV I hand re-prime the cases. Then I dump them in a big bucket that contains about 1500 cases. I know that I sent over 5000 bullets out the end of the barrel last year. The only brass I threw away were ones that got kinked, crushed, or dinged in the reloader.
  2. There must have been some movement today there are now 11 people ahead of me. So at five people a day, I should get the word on Thursday. Kim - I still think your the bestest girl in the whooooole world!
  3. Hey Bwana, I think you can nix Dan Z. from the list of hopefuls. I don't think he got on the waiting list, he might have a scheduling conflict for that time period.
  4. Hey Bubber, Don't worry about the math, now I am 16th. I feel like a ping pong ball on the lottery show, that bounces around before it finally drops through the hole. "In Kim we trust"
  5. When I signed off last night I was at #24. This morning at 05:30 I was at #25? Just now I checked and I am at #15. I wouldn't worry. I think am confident that even USPSA enjoyed the 2006 version of "As The Wheel Turns".
  6. I have no complaints with the Raniers that I have been shooting. Last year I fired 5000 without a problem. (not counting that whole powder issue) I still have about 500 on hand, that I have been saving for a special occasion. I guess we will know in a few days. I have heard that the Moly's are supposed to be faster on the chrono, but I don't have any experience one way or the other yet.
  7. My record on the USPSA Site now says I now have another opportunity to see Cliff in action on the range and/or in the bar. Well sleep tight all, I have to get up for work in 4.5 hours.
  8. Yup! It gave me a message that I was confirmed for the waiting list. But now I can't get the USPSA website page to come back up. It must be getting flooded right now.
  9. Well I had mine submitted before the clock said (CST) 11:01:00 Now for the wait (Kim, You're my favorite )
  10. Al, Tom's link is from the last go 'round. (Get it...Get it...) Some liked my tag line. Another we talked about was "If it was easy, everyone would do it!"
  11. Joe, Don't feel confused. I think the fast changing cost of bullets just keeps us from being up to date. If you have any questions about the surcharge go to their website and click to add 1000 rounds to your cart. You will see an addtional charge on the check out page. I think a lot of places are like that anymore. They offer a 'good' price, but figure that they can slip the 'Taxes, Dealer Prep, and Other Options' under the wire. Midway USA is like that. They offer good prices, but have incredible shipping charges. It makes you wonder how Brownells can do it all for a flat shipping rate, and low prices. I just ordered 1500 of the Bear Creek bullets. I will let you know if they fly straight compared to my 230 gr. Raniers.
  12. Berrys Mfg. http://www.berrysmfg.com/56.php 230 Gr RN Plated $100.44 per 1000 I know many people swear by their product, but they would rank 8th out of 9. According to their website they are now charging a surcharge for lead. For 1K of bullets they add a $16.50 surcharge due to lead. Shipping is free though for orders over $30. Not hard to do with the surcharge.
  13. I tried converting the spreadsheet into Rich Text and a few other types. I had not tried your suggestion of using paint to convert it to a jpg. Later I will give it a try and see how it works. Otherwise I will just create a matching table in word and modify it each time to match the spreadsheet. Maybe that will work.

I still need to figure out a way to paste an Excel spreadsheet into this forum. Anyone have any good suggestions?
  15. Hop, Once again you put your money where your mouth is. We are all lucky to have someone who is as passionate about the sport as you are. Wish I was going to Old Miss' now.
  16. I'd be happy to, if you guys can help me get on your squad! I am thinking of trying something different this year. In the never ending search for another tenth, I am thinking about leaving the primers out as well this year.
  17. Dan Z. and I are planning to hit the waiting list. Our club got a spot for the MT Nats, but not one for Tulsa. So if we both get a slot add 2 to the Revo count.
  18. Trubl, Thanks for the response. I thought as much on the extractor so I have just ordered the whole parts package for that section Ejector, Extractors, springs, pins. That should hopefully bring that up to snuff. As far as the ejection, I understand that the action shouldn't unlock until fired. But when I fire it with my hand on the forearm it will come back an inch or so on recoil. Now it may be my technique that is causing that. Maybe I should be putting some forward pressure on until just after firing. Thanks for the info on the 590. I will pass it on to some others if you should decide anything. As for me my 500 is like an old hunting dog. I will stick with it, as long as it sticks with me. We have taken deer, pheasant, bunnies, sporting clays, etc. together. It just fits my hand. Now we are going to bust cardboard and steel occasionally.
  19. Anyone fluent in Mossberg? For background I am an AR-15 and Smith & Wesson trained armorer, but I have never been to school for one of these. I figure the fit and function rules probably apply to all guns though. I have an old 500 that I have used for many years. I am converting it over to shoot some 3 gun tournaments, but am having a couple of problems. I figure the biggest problem is that some of the parts may be worn and not performing as designed. Problem 1 - Some of the shells eject cleanly but about 1 in 4 will hang up in the ejection port. Is this a 'Replace the ejector' problem only or is there a spring or tension involved here? Problem 2 - Occasionaly on recoil the forearm & action will move partially to the rear. This feels like the locking mechanism may be worn and slips under recoil. Thanks.
  20. Zack, We are trying whenever anyone sees a change. I know that Angus' site is http://www.ghostholser.com but I haven't heard of Bear Creek. Do you have a link? I have been updating some of the fast moving prices and found a few new entries. Company......... Type..........Price........ Shipping.... Total...... Special..... Price......... 1K Avg.......... When I copy/paste it messes up all of the columns. Then I have to put in all of the periods by hand.
  21. North, Thanks. These are also called a deltronic pin sometimes. I called Deltronic, but they don't make them anymore. Of course. I didn't know it would be this tough to find. They actually list this gauge in the military manuals. So I thought about looking it up in a manual, then web-search for that part number. As far as the Min-Max number, I don't know what it is. I could also try to find time to check with one of the barrel manufacturers.
  22. There is a gauge that is just a straight rod. You drop it through the barrel. If the barrel is straight it falls right through. If it is bent it sticks. Pretty simple process. I am an armorer and need it in my arsenal of gauges to check during inspections.
  23. Does anyone know where I can locate and buy a bore straightness gauge for .223 AR-15's. Thanks.
  24. I think something like "D.B. Wesson" sounds like a good name for a young man!
  25. TMC, Are you just looking so that you can run a tap or die to clean up the threads? If you don't mind waiting a couple of days, due to the weekend I might be able to find out for you. I will post here if I get an answer, or will not if I see you post the answer. Good luck with it.
