Oh I see, so you use the trimmer dies to do the final sizing step while the initial sizer does the majority portion of the sizing. Back in 2020 I was inquiring M7 about what I need to start trimming brass on my press, they told me to just get the Bosch trimmer kit as it has Bosch's warranty on the router motor. Come to find out the die that came with the kit fits way too deep into the tool head so I think I may need to get their offset tool head now. Had they told me back then....
Yes, you’ll definitely need the offset/trim tool head or else you won’t be able to mount the Bosch trimmer properly.
I’m using the Bosch trimmer/Dillon carbide trim die on my processing tool head.

The U-Die sizes down .003:..........according to Redding, the pro sizer takes them down -.002".
That’s about inline with the measurements I got between the Redding and Lee UDie; .001-.002” difference between the two dies.

I've had mine for awhile now and love it. I have three old style 1050 case feeders, two really old ones and one that came with the my Super. I had installed the ImmortoBot Pro upgrade on the one on my Rollsizer, and then received the DAA plate after the fact. I wish I'd known about the plate before ordering the ImmortoBot upgrade, the DAA plate is fast enough for the Rollsizer, 6100rph and makes the ImmortoBot upgrade unnecessary.
Did you modify the wiring in addition to the DAA plate to be able to keep up with the Rollsizer or keep the wiring factory?

Better approach would be for Dillon to properly design and use the right motor to begin with. AC motors have less torque than DC motors. I'm guessing Dillon went with the cheapest option. While DAA has some good stuff, they also have some lemons (hand priming tool).
The motor used by Dillon in the case feeder is not an AC motor. It’s a cheap 540-sized DC motor usually used on cheap and toy-grade electric RC cars and trucks. This is the reason why they used the AC to DC power supply converter or else the motor won’t run or get burned. The power supply converts 110-240 VAC to 24 VDC to run the motor.
I have some hobby grade 550-sized Mabuchi motors that put out out more torque and would had been better if Dillon decided to use this type of motor instead of what they currently have. Better yet, if they can install a brushless motor, it would be the best since it can put out a lot of torque.
If someone has an old and broken casefeeder, I’d like to buy it so I can install and experiment with one of my spare RC truck motors. I can change the connectors to match the circuit board of the Dillon case feeder.
some of my spare brushless motors that powers up my racing buggies and truggies.

On gunbroker or is there a better place to sell to competition shooters? I just realized there's classifieds on here too. I'll check that out. Thanks for the help!
You can’t sell it here unless you have at least 50 posts. Read the guidelines so you won’t get in trouble with the mods.

I just learned it's a new model. I haven't gotten the delivery yet and the picture online was the old model so I basically ordered it for no reason. Oh well.
You can always sell it.

Wait so how difficult is it to remove the tso mag catch? Is it just like the 75? I had a shadow 2 orange but didn't mess with it because I loved the paddle. I have a TSO on order and a mag catch with paddle on the way from sebo.
The new TSO (2019 and later) already comes with the mag catch paddle from the factory. I’m surprised you ordered one from Sebo since you won’t be needing it unless the TSO you’re buying is NOS from 2018 and earlier.

I wonder if the output of the DAA plate can be achieved with just the wiring mod and still using the stock Dillon plate?

Pretty crazy that small of dimension change between the dies causes such a perceived difference in the case wall.
Yes it is. Before measuring them, I was always wondering why I was getting the coke bottle shape with the Lee but not with the Redding.

I could see a way where the coke bottle shape could possibly lead to feed issues with the first round when the mag is at full capacity and you load a pistol +1.
Other than that I cannot see where it matters as long as it passes the gage.
People discuss how U Dies prevents setback. While I agree, I use Redding dies and have never had an issue with setback and for the most part my brass casing are straight walled with no "Coke bottle Shape".
I have both the Lee Udie and Redding carbide sizing die. Having measured both, the Redding is about .001”-.002” wider in diameter compared to the Lee Udie. I think this is the main reason the Redding works just as good as the Lee udie without the coke bottle shape.

On my 1100, instead of the Dillon hold down/expander, I installed and had been using an FW Arms Auto-centering swage foot die. It has a heat treated steel rod than holds down the case directly on the primer hole and doesn’t expand or bell the case.
The MBF provides the belling of the case prior to bullet seating.

Am I the only one using a seperate tool head? Process head universal decap. / swage hold down/ then around the other side a lee undersize.
Nope. I have the same setup on my processing tool head using FW Arms auto primer popper, FW arms swage hold down, Lee U-die without decapping pin.

Very niche topic here but hopefully someone will know. Does anyone know if there is a 3D model of a TS/TSO magazine out there? Looking for an STL file to print some dummy mags for dry fire. If not, I plan on modeling them myself with some space for weights to make them realistic, and spare my feed lips in the process.
I had been searching for one to no avail. If you do make some, please pm me. I’d like to have some for practice.

You can buy it from MidwayUSA, brownells etc.
Lyman 9mm M die
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1011246697?pid=600695
Or you can also place a WTB ad in the classifieds for a 1050/1100 9mm hold down die. Majority of 1050/1100 owners (including me) get rid of them from their presses and use different hold down die from another manufacturer (I had been using FW Arms hold down die since it holds the bottom of case instead of the case mouth).

Very nice setup. Do you mind sharing the measurements or drawings for your rollsizer base? I can weld a little bit and I have the time to make one.
Thank you.

i have just the trainer for you.... I know of a movement coach who sucks at shooting.
Is that the lady who used to be married to a world champion shooter ?

Make sure you lube the cases really well during the decapping and resizing stage. Hornady One Shot or any lanolin-based lube will work.
I made my own lien using one part pure lanolin to 12 parts 99% alcohol (HEET in the red bottle). You can buy the pure lanolin from any drugstore or Amazon and HEET from any auto parts store.

Just making sure, doesn't Dillon still have a 'no questions asked' warranty policy on all things 550?
It has been a few years since I called them with a 550 question, when I did the advice was on the spot.
They still do. In fact, I called to let them know I had a problem with the primer system and they sent me a replacement part free of charge.

The factory TSO magwell is most compatible with the garbage can. But I used Springer Precision basebads and they functioned correctly with it.

I’m using +2 CZ Custom base pads and springs/followers on my TSO and czechmate mags. I also have grams springs/followers on some of the mags. No problems with the stock magwell.
The only difference between TSO and TS/TS2 mags are the base pads. The TSO has the aluminum orange base pads while the TS/TS2 uses the black polymer base pads.
Both use the same stock magwell.
