  1. Hahahahaha You know me too well, C. I took it apart and just took a photo, No messing about. Dumbass question, but where is it?
  2. LOL. Probably would be to you, Im pretty green when it comes to inner workings. I’ll take off the plate and see if anything jumps out and take a photo and post it. I appreciate the help.
  3. I need a little help from those who will know. My 929 just started to have the trigger not fully engage as well as making this odd sound. Before I take it apart, having no clue as to the issue, does anyone have a thought on what this might be? I made a video. Was running perfect before this, has about 2000 rounds through. Regular, not extended firing pin. Thanks in advance! https://m.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=zqzaY0XBybw
  4. Finally got it and you were right! Thanks for pointing that out. Requires some serious concentration.
  5. It's not easy. I'm seeing two targets, and really have to start close up and focus for that to stop. I've got work to do, but this is an excellent exercise!
  6. Thank you Tanfarm for asking the question! I didn't understand either, now I get it!
  7. No issues other than the primers aren’t as uniform as the CCI ones we used previously. They won’t load with a vibra prime and one got stuck in the primer tube on the 650. otherwise click = Bang 100% and give a little more bang than CCI. Given they are equal in price give or take a $1 it’s a win win.
  8. Not hard to find and similar cost to regular primers. We like them. https://www.grafs.com/catalog/product/productId/92
  9. Here's a link to some printable dot torture and other fun stuff. Going to try dot torture today. Should be humbling. https://www.pewpewtactical.com/wp-content/downloads/Pew Pew Tactical Targets (2017).pdf?__s=gqamwpoc7kdr5wvdx1s3
  10. Getting Federal anything up here is like finding hens teeth. I only found one box of match at my go-to local store which I bought. I then went investigating like an FBI agent. A lot of the small stores do not show Federal when you google them. I was lucky to find another 3 cases of match at a small Ontario store and they were on SALE! Bonus. If anyone would be kind enough to share loads that would give a PF of about 120-125 I would be very appreciative. I have VV N340 powder and can't get the recommended blue, or Bayou coated bullets up here so not sure what to do for that. All suggestions would be highly appreciated.
  11. I was able to get one case of 1000 of the Federal match primers. My local gun store had them on sale so they were only 5 bucks more than the regular impossible to get Federal SP. I would have stocked up like a squirrel before winter if she had more. I did manage to find 6 cases of Federal 200 small magnum primers. From the excellent feedback I’ve got on the forum it looks like they will be fine if I dial the powder down just a tad. Have you tried the magnums?
  12. The military contract would certainly explain it. Makes sense now.
  13. That's the story I heard, which originated from a former employee. It was said they make more money on the ammo and not much on primers so they just don't bother. But wouldn't that be the case for all the ammo providers? I don't get it, but have found some work arounds thanks to this forum.
  14. Hi Daniele, I have been using the Fiocchi primers as they are lead free, my levels were high from shooting indoors. I love them, they have a very clean engagement. I had not tried them in my 929 as I did not know they are soft, so that is a BONUS! Thank you, that solves a couple of issues for me!
  15. That's good news! I think they must be scared of it here too as it's the only Federal primers that have been available for about a year. Price is the same up here as well. I'm going to stock up. 128 power factor would be perfect for me, I don't need a major load for ICORE. Most appreciative for the information and suggestions.
  16. Thank you to everyone for all the help. At least I will be able to get Winchester primers here eventually and will give the Federal Magnum's a try when I find out if I should make powder adjustments as I believe they have a little more BANG.
  17. Just wondering if you put the Apex firing pin in your 929? Have you tried the Federal Magnum small pistol primers, if so, did you make any powder adjustments? I can only find the magnum up here. Even Winchester is all back ordered at the moment because of the dirth of Federal, but they will be back in stock, thankfully.
  18. I did find the Federal Magnum small pistol primers up here. Picking up a case tomorrow. Do you lighten your powder at all when using the magnum primers? Do you limit the number of times you use fired brass? Sorry for all the newbie questions, I just want to get it right.
  19. I've got a vernier for the depth measurement, step one. I just backed up and read the whole post, some brilliant info here, just what I needed. Photos are really helpful as well. Many thanks!
  20. I can get Winchester primers up here so I'll give those a go. I'm new to reloading as well, is there a trick to seating the primers slightly below the bottom of the case? Would you have a photo of one by chance? I've heard a lot of stories why the Federal primers are not available but don't know what the real one is. Not one supplier in Canada has had them for months. Appreciate the help. I've got lots to learn.
