...Some competitions require all original safety mechanisms be fully functional...
Do you know the competitions that require that the 80 parts be functional?
TIA

Not sure what your preference is but gun broker has several Sig Sauer 1911's in 40SW at a very good price. I just picked up Sig Traditional Match Elite for a lot less than they're going for. They also have several Max Mitchel 1911's for a lot less than I paid for mine. Check them out.

The Grams follower already comes tuned so it won't lock the slide open...the two that I ordered did not lock open.

EGW makes them both. The EGW is 0.1gr heavier than the Koenig. The EGW is always in stock; the Koenig not so much. I have both and honestly cannot discern any functional difference between them.
I have both too and can’t tell the difference between them.

the ones that came with mine were wilson combat the 47ben are the long pads the fit them and made then drop below the mag well
I'm ordering the 47ben from the Wilson Combat site in hopes that they will fit my magazines. Also ordering their 40S&W/10mm spring and follower kit.
I load long and won't fit in the mags with the magazine spacer..

...BTW, about six months ago I finished a fully custom 1911 45 build. I use it for lots of competitions, but not for USPSA.
What other competitions other than USPSA? Only other ones I've seen in my area is IDPA and Steel Challenge which is better shot in 9mm.

I got my new pistol today and went to install a dawsons magwell on it. I could get it on, but it was essentially locked up at that point. Changed the factory ms to the magwell, same thing. Then i noticed the 19# wilson ms i bought for the magwell was about .25" longer. Cut it and still didnt work. Then i saw that the msh on the dawsons magwell is a solid .25" longer. WTH? ...
I had the same problem when I installed the Dawson Ice magwell on my RO. Using a file take material off the top of the MSH until it fits. Take a little at a time and check until you can insert the pin to hold the MSH in place

Edit: problem solved...it wasn't anything serious enough that 150 rounds through the gun wouldn't fix! This gun has found a home.
I have over 200 rounds through my 10-round mags and the 10th round is still very tight when loaded. Been thinking of trimming some of the plastic from the base pads to see if that solves the issue.

EGW makes rear sight dovetail mounting plates for the M&P in footprints to match most red dots (Vortex, C-More, Burris FF, Leupold DPP, RMR, etc.) and they install easily and are very secure.
They are certainly cheaper than having your slide cut and you can return to open sights if you ever want to.
That's what I did before sending my M&P for milling. You might also want to consider buying a C.O.R.E. kit.

How has the 2.0 been working for you? Have you done any mods?

Tripp and Wilson Combat. Had some problems with the followers on the Tripp mags but once I contacted CS the sent me replacements and they have been working with no issues.
