  1. Blade-Tech makes one that you can order off the shelf. You also have gX Products and Redhill Tactical, but those are made to order.
  2. Cesar Shop out of Europe sells base pads in brass but the are currently out of stock. Edit: They are in stock. Waiting for them to respond to my email so I can order them.

    Sp 01 magazine release

I had the same problem. You have to make sure you press the mag release completely in. The magazine spring is hard to press until it’s broken in.
  4. Best part of the Tripp magazines is the customer support. When you contact them you are speaking directly to the owner. You can't go wrong with them.
  5. The only ones I've found are the Tripp 10 round 10/40 mags. I reload long so the 10mm magazines are the only ones that work for me. If your debating on buying them, I would definitely recommend them. They have worked with no issues. I'm going to buy more as soon as they're back in stock at Dawson Precision.
  6. If don’t want feeding problems bite the bullet and get the MBX mags. They go for $130. Maybe see if you can buy used Remington mags. On the sights I use Dawson Precision.
  7. Yes. I can only see distance and need reading glasses. I can also clearly see the the fiber too...even indoors. I shoot target focused so all I need to see is a glimpse of the fiber on the A zone. Same as with the red dot.
  8. I started transitioning to the red dot when my vision started getting worse with age (63). It got to the point where I could no longer see details in the target and just saw a brown blur. I transitioned to red dot and it helped a lot. I trained with the tape over the red dot’s glass but still was seeing the targets the same, but accuracy was much better. I went to see an Ophthalmologist and was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. I had cataract surgery and my vision returned back to normal. 20/20 in left eye and 20/15 in the right. I started dry firing with irons, took videos of myself shooting red dot vs irons and found myself shooting better and faster with irons. Us seniors/super seniors are at the age that we start to develop cataracts and maybe that will be the solution. Not saying that it applies to everyone but just a thought. Hope this helps.
  9. This is what I use for 9mm and 40SW. Also works for 45 ACP and other calibers. https://www.maglula.com/product/uplula-9mm-to-45acp
  10. I've loaded different OAL's and haven't had any issues. The Tripp magazines I'm using are the 10/40SW 10 round mags.
  11. I'm using the same magazines and my ammo is loaded to 1.18 too. Only thing I can think of is your springs might be worn out. Maybe stretch the springs out a little to see if it solves the problem. You might want to call or email Virgil at Tripp. I had an issue with my Tripp mags when I first got them and he resolved the issue for me. His number is 512-321-9445 or you can email him at info@trippresearch.com. Hope this helps.
  12. I'm using Federal Magnum small pistol primers on my Carry Optics minor and 40 major loads. Have not noticed any difference.

    Sp01 red dot options

Plus you can get a plate in case you want to convert it back to irons.
  14. Same happened to me when I bought my SP01 Shadow. Round is too long. I solved the problem by shortening to OAL 1.09. Eventually I sent my barrel to get reamed so I could load longer. Since your running factory ammo you might want to consider getting your barrel reamed.
  15. I have the same R1 Limited and use the MBX magazines, but they are up there in cost. I also use two SPS magazines that work good in the R1 and are about half the cost.
  16. The screws that Trijicon sends are a little over 11mm. I just trimmed mine down to 10mm with a dremmel and everything worked.
  17. These are on SP01 Shadow and posting them for your reference. The first one was done by CZCustoms and the second one was by CGW. Both sit on plates but the one milled by CZCustoms sits much closer to the top of the slide. Advantage with these two companies is your not tied to one RDS. CZCustoms makes a plate with rear sight if you decide to take the optic off and shoot irons. They make them for both SP01 and Shadow 2. Hope this helps.
  18. ^^Just to add, the SP01 Shadow does not come with the firing pin block.
  19. Milled using CZ’s optic plates. .
  20. I’m in a similar situation as you. I love shooting USPSA and IDPA in SS, but my eyes don’t cooperate anymore. After trying different red dot guns at the range, I decided to get the SP01 Shadow, sent them to CZ_custom and had them milled for RDS.
  21. Semi-fit. Very easy to fit using their video.
  22. I put the Apex barrel in mine and the Apex flat trigger. use it in USPSA CO. VERY accurate!
