  1. I've thought about it more and will go ahead and stake them, as far as polishing the hammer goes .... I did go ahead and polish the sides of hammer that contacts inside frame... was considering doing the part of the hammer that sits on sear when gun is in SA mode.
  2. Thanks for the advice, with a new hammer installed did you guys sand/polish the area that contacts the sear?
  3. I recently purchased a CGW prod. legal hammer kit along with a new hammer strut and pins for my SP-01 , I was told that the pins would need to be staked in to be held in place . Another alternative to staking the pins was to apply red loctite on the pins . I'm seeking advice from those that have installed a hammer onto a strut , I also went ahead and purchased CGW RRK type 2 and their SRS FPB lifter ; did anyone polish the disconnector from the RRK ? Thanks in advance to those who chime in
  4. Ok thanks, I just purchased some ACME 147 FP and 145 RN to try out and if those don't do the trick I will definitely look at the SNS bullets
  5. Best of luck, when I initially had the lightstrikes I started off with polishing my firing pin thinking that would help...but once I firmly seating the primers consistent I had much better results
  6. B_RAD, have you tried ensuring the primers are firmly seated well? I had same issue with my shadow when I first got it and switched over to 11.5# hammer spring....once I slowed down loading and took more time to firmly press each primer in my ftf went away Other fellow friends told me it could also be the fact that my gun is pretty much new and needs more breaking in , only put 800plus rounds down the pipe
  7. Thanks for all your insight, I will look into the ACME bullets website later today
  8. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wanted a good coated lead bullet recommendation to be exact.... Reason is cost and to see of there's something more accurate you guys have tried that works Which of those allowed you to load the longest oal ?
  9. The current load I'm using for my CZ SP-01 Shadow Custom is : 3.4gr Win 231/ 147gr Xtreme plated or 3.2 gr Clays / 147gr Xtreme plated both loads with OAL of 1.150 ( both loads met PF 126 ) ... so my question to those who own/shoot one of these fine pistols ; is that what brand of lead bullets have YOU tried that gave you great success ? I'm specially looking to stick with 147gr bullets .
