  1. Will the .38S mags work in 9x19? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes they will and in .38supercomp my Pro-mags with the correct feed-lip adjustment will hold 24! and so far function fine! but i will keep tweaking on it until i can say with-out doubt that it runs 100% So far so good! MB <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After further review i see that i jumped the gun and didn't actually answer your question! Yes the 9mm will work in your factory .38s mags!!!!!!!!
  2. Dan, I don't know why you keep this going you know that it is going to evolve into some Yankee driving his truck out in the middle of a frozen lake somewhere in the great white north and cutting a whole in the ice and actually telling himself that he is FISH'IN (hahahahaha) And actually i'm not mad at you for trying to make the rest of the world believe that Hockey is a "sporting event" you just plain don't know any better

  4. I've been using those tubes since '98. They require maintenance no doubt, but the bottom line is that they work. As far as a rebirth, I’ve never given up on the Caspian. I've been hackled and harassed though, and told by the other frame manufactures that I’d never be competitive with one in Limited. That I needed to stop "fighting the power". I say choose your own path. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> T_T great to hear you chime in on this! I took your and Max's Double tap class in Texas last Feb. along with 3 other people from Indiana so it is good to hear from you on this, your opinion is much needed when it comes to our sport and this particular issue! I have done your conversion on 7 PRO-Mags myself and as i said they do work! But IMHO if Caspian is going to hit the scores of people that are on the fence trying to decide which Frame S-I or Caspian then not only are they needing a 170mm .38s and a 140mm USPSA legal .40 mag tube these said tubes are going to have to be well made and not just some kind of a rushed to the market cheaply made tube that can't withstand the kind of abuse that we put them thru!, And i also believe that Gary S. thinks within those lines! I for one have switched to an all Caspian set of race guns limited and open and love them and for what it is worth will not waiver! But i also understand that if they are going to thrive as they should in main stream USPSA then we should all try to be patient and wait for Gary S. to bring us a product we can trust! In the mean time everyone on the fence should be aware that the PRO-MAG CAS-01 conversion works, is easy to do, is reliable, and the best thing it is cheaper then building any other high cap race mag!!!!!! And Caspian has 18 round 9mm/.38s mags available! Marc Brock
  5. Danny my somewhat jaded yankee friend! Most of us don't even know what this Hockey game you are talking about is? You see you ask questions of us that we can't comprehend like "are these prices outrageous or are they this high at all Hockey arena's ? What are these "arena's" you keep talking about? Are you trying to tell us that this thing you people from the great white north go to witness is actually done in it's own seperate building !and Hockey is so big up there that people actually pay to enter this building and view this event? Come on Dan we are not buying it! Although there are vast cultural diffrences between you Yankees and us NON-Yankees there is no possible way that this hockey game you spend so much of your hard earned money to go see is ever going to take off! Hell at those prices you could go to 1 1/2 monster truck rallys or even 2 WWF matches!!! Please stop with this Hockey stuff as no one else will be willing to understand why you spent more money on Hockey then what a good fishing rod would cost!!!! Your buddy, Marc Brock
  6. I would like to start a new thread for us few but growing fans of the Caspian Wide body gun! I would like to thank Gary Smith at Caspian for the progress he is making on developement of guns and equipment for the pourpose of our sport! I for one am happy to see all these threads on high capacity magazines here lately! and although the Pro-Mag conversion on the CAS-01 mag is simple and it does work i don't see those mags working for long? especially after multiple mag drops and practice sessions? And after talking with Gary S. on the phone several times i Don't think he does either, but maybe he will chime in and give us his opinion on the longevity of those pro-mag bodys ?
  7. Wow you broke "parts" as in multiple not singular as in "part" I own 2 super 1050's never broke a single part let alone parts! i also own 1 650 which is a great machine as well but the fact is if your up-strokin you are wasting valuable time that could be better spent sipping mint julips out on the viranda whilst trying to swoon a fine young southern belle! Or you could just make rash statements at random over an obvious equipment malfunction that totally waxed your A-- ! Just my .02
  8. Bleeding is cool but on the same album check out Birthday it doesn't have anything to do with our sport but it rocks !
  9. Wow. Run to the Hills. Haven't heard that in ages. Maybe I'll go put that in now! There is a Rob Zombie song from his "House of 1000 Corpses" soundtrack that is pretty cool. Probably shouldn't mention the title here for fear of getting this thread locked. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah i think i remember that Zombie track P---y liquors ( the sign on the liquor store right? )
  10. O.K. O.K. O.K. This is a topic that i can relate too! I like : Motley Crue= Kickstart my heart Motorhead= " The Hammer " Megadeath= I know Jack Over kill= Old school Metal church= Batallions Iron Maiden= run to the hills Head Bangin, Heart pounding, And definately A-- Kicking!!!!!
  11. Bob, Thanks for the info on the S&W blanks! It would be great to have another source for barrels ! Do you have a .400 barrel for S&W? I have 2 646 smiths and am going to use a 5 inch heavy barrel to add some muzzle weight for USPSA/IPSC/I.C.O.R.E shooters who want the L-frame with better recoil control. Racer!
  12. R112, I do all of my chamfers at 18 degrees but for the moment i am playing with a .38(model10) with a shilen barrel on it and with the 18 degree chamfer you should use jacketed bullets! If you want to shoot wad cutters or even semi-wad cutters in lead i suggest lerss chamfer say 8 to 11 degrees do to bullet deformation! Racer!
  13. I have been told that the Taylor method works best, but wondered what works well for you. TIA, DougC......( you see I have this 8 shot that I want to shorten up to 38 short colt and ...) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  14. I am new to this forum but have lots of experience with S&W I have done several I.C.O.R.E guns and many more PPC guns! I shoot USPSA in Indiana and know AIREDALE from shooting with him at Silver creek. If you want a 9mm revo that is no problem and probably cheaper then you think Simply shorten a 686 cylinder and rechamber it to 9mm then Re-Barrel to a five inch Douglas/ Shilen/ Clark barrel and your there!!!!!!!!! You may try to call S&W to see if they have any 9mm cylinders left but i doubt it? Racer!
