Max1, that's true. To change caliber on a 1050/1100 you are looking of upwards of $300.

That has to be one of the more cringy channels on YT
Haha. Thanks. I know, not everyone is open minded. Its not for everyone.

Yeah, its one of those accessories that's not needed but totally awesome to have.

Agree shred. Was talking with Bobby Carver and told me perceived recoil and flatness its all relative. It all depends on many factors such as bullet load, user handling, etc....
Redneck, You are right. Should have shown the weapon was cleared form the beginning of the video. Take a deep breath.

Funny you say that Tom. My hands are always dirty with marker mush after each range session.

The auto marker also works best with brush tip sharpies.

It's the best solution that I've found, but can be a bit finicky.
You can get a mark, but don't expect the perfect bands they have in the picture. The markers they supply don't work (in my experiance), but can be remedied by getting Sharpie "brush" style markers.
I've set it up without the chute and have it drop right off my press in line with my catch bin, as I didn't like having it on the floor. It does jam as the rounds aren't orientated right (they come in from the side with the chute, mine comes from the top), but it's only a minor issue.
I use it to mark my different loads so I don't get them mixed up, and it works well for that purpose. Identifying your brass at the range would work as well.
Yup. Exactly my thought. Plus, it doesn't work for rifle cases.

Late response, but thanks for the idea, George16

Has anyone used this before? Every time I go to the range it makes identifying my brass so much easier. Thoughts?

I've have the lyman case prep center for several years and love it. Not thrilled about swaging 223 with it, but there's plenty room for a pocket uniformer and case trimmer. How do you use yours?

I have the Pro DAA bag, but its true what some say, the larger the bag the more stuff you tend to put in. But its definitely a cart bag; I have the DAA cart and it's worth every penny. I was also looking at the DAA traditional target bag to carry cardboard targets, but hasn't been in stock for years. HOWEVER, let me recommend this art bag I bought on amazon. It almost fits the USPSA perfectly but has plenty pockets for pasty gun, staplers etc. Yeah, more stuff to carry....

The 1050 they are selling now is the Super 1050, not the older RL 1050. The older RL 1050 is an excellent machine especially for pistol calibers.
I have an 1100, but what do you think are the differences between the super 1050 and the RL 1050?

Hey bud, This is a public thread. ANYONE can join in and contribute. No one is comparing guns here. 2011s are awesome guns. But if you can't deal or handle different opinions or views, then you need more growing up to do and stop acting so conceited.
-
Man, I was able to build an open glock, but wish that one day I’ll be able to get a 2011. Enjoy!

It's been quite the spamming of a subpar open gun and eye bleach is required
Subpar open gun? Why do you say this?

Do I not contribute to the threads? Look at my post history. But for your peace of mind, I added my channel to my signature a few days ago. Maybe now you will not be so distracted and focus on what we are all really here to do.

Not interested in a nother self proclaimed youtube expert. If you had less than 50 post . I would suspect you were making a run to sale some bobble.
AHI,
Come off your high horse. I am merely contributing to a thread. Unlike you, who seems to be sharpshooting others. And for your much needed enlightment, I have well over 50 posts here and youtube is not a a place were you sell "bobbles." I use Youtube here as a way to enhance a thread conversation in case readers want to find more detailed information. Understand your place, if not, this forum may not be the best place for you.

I bought my 1100 for a few reasons. Everything on the down stroke was the biggest reason. I was trying out a couple ones friends have, 650, 750, 1050 and 1100. I didn't like the up stroke prime part at all. Just didn't flow well for me. That left me to the 1050 or 1100. At the time I found a new 1100 ready to ship but in 40cal. But they had a set of Lyman Pro dies and conversion kit for it in stock as well. Talked to the guys at DAA and with in a week I had everything at the house and a MBF. Best money I've spent in USPSA Ever!
Totally agree, bakerjd. I always reloaded with Lee and Lyman. But when I bought the 1100 it was a game changer. Since then, I have bought other Dillon presses and haven't looked back!

I was going to buy a similar product but if I remember correctly, it required some permanent changes to the 1100. But this tool from Suncoast is a game changer. Now, I deprime before wet tumble, so the cases I run through are dirty brass and wouldn't want to run dirty brass through my 1100 and the u depriming die. For this I use the lee app press.
Why do I really shoot?

Gotta be honest here fellas, I am a retired vet and suffer from depression. I am lucky because through out the years I have been able to accumulate lots of reloading equipment. But to be honest, sometimes I don't even feel like doing anything, much less reload. Going to the range feels like such a monumental task. I try to make videos to keep me busy. I mean, when I shoot I love it, its just getting to that point. Thanks.
