This idea is worse than shooting a Glock in open
Haha seems you haven’t been around the competition world much! It’s ok though…

Hello all, I was just driving and thinking what would it be like if there was some sort of local match, custom made, were reloading/ hand loading was incorporated with the shooting. For example, competitors would bring an abbreviated and travel single stage with their components and make their own rounds before shooting. Off course, parameters would be set as to how many rounds would be needed, type of powder etc. Once those parameters are set, individuals or teams would have to make the rounds, be checked by official with case gauge and shoot them in an allowed time. Points would be allocated for reloading teams who finished with the most accurate rounds and, off course, shooting accuracy. I know this sounds crazy, but would be interested in knowing your thoughts....

Thanks bob. I will try adjusting my crimp. JIC

Hoping you have a quick recovery!!

lol. Thank you fellas!!

Like leezway said, it does pick up gravel. Not only that, but it also picks up 22lr cases. But in general, it saves you time and your back!

Hey guys! Years ago I made a video where I talked about the benefits, for me, to do so minor trimming on 9mm cases. My rationale was that plenty of them do get stuck in chamber and they become FTF or FTE. So, to make them more uniformed, I was trimming them. (Now, I know there's a myriad of other reasons why they wouldn't feed.) To be honest, after I posted the video, I am not sure if it's worth trimming. In the video comments, understandably, many people commented that it was a waste of time. Thoughts???

I have the 9mm XDM 4.5" dual tone. Nothing but accuracy and reliability. Shot k's through it!

Gentlemen, I will do my first official USPSA match next month. Haven't done one in years. This feedback seems like gospel to me. Much appreciated!!

For those reloaders that pick up their brass at range, do you use any tools for it? I made this video...
-
Do you deprime first for all caliber? For me, I deprime first if its 9mm because I can run them fast through the Lee App press. If it is, say, 223, I wet tumble first, then deprime.

Thanks brother!! Sweet set-up.

Wondering what you experts do, to say, prep you cases before you load them. Here I share my steps for case preparation of .223. Hope you enjoy!

davsco, try gun shows...

tacos and beers, that sounds like fun.

Man, if you were in FL I would have a recommendation.

Hey guys, I just wanted to ask what method do you use for swaging brass. I had the Dillon swager; then got rid of it and started using the Lyman case prep to swage. Did this for a few years, but was not satisfied. Primers were still hard to seat, even after swaging. Bought the Dillon swager again, and problem solved. I hope you enjoy this video.

Much appreciated fellas. My wife likes to shoot, so when she accompanies me its all dandy.

Agree. The bench mounted one is a different animal. Must be so much faster then the drill mounted. But yes, the drill mounted is called the Tri-way trimmer because it, not only trims, but also deburs and chamfers.

Money well spent, and will save time.

A nice option is the Armanov toolhead, which uses the Hornady LNL bushings.
Man this would be awesome especially when changing dies. Thanks for sharing. Was not aware of this item.

When you insert a case, hold even pressure and give it a half twist.
Thanks for the advice. I had totally forgotten to do this.

Saw a few very old threads on this but didn't want to post there. What are your thoughts on the Giraud? Many say its inconsistent. Have you found a better trimmer?

Racinready300ex, that sounds interesting. Will have to swing by one of those matches and see how it’s done. Thanks for the info.
