  1. I just switched to a Tanfoglio Limited Pro. Still doing the setup. What a joy to shoot though. But we will see how much it helps in an actual match in a couple weeks.
  2. I've shot a G17 a G34 and a XDM 5.25 in competition. And all were great. And for most people they are a plenty capable competition gun. Me included probably. However I just switched to a Tanfoglio Limited Pro and have to say I'm impressed so far. Still love my Glocks but the trigger and weight are nice. But we will see how it goes.
  3. I purchased a Kydex from a local maker for a P226R. And as many have said it doesn't really fit. So I just loosened to tension screws and held it over the stove for a a bit to make the Kydex soft. Then I shoved the gun into the holster and heated it back up with the gun in. Let it completely cool with gun in the holster and it worked fine. But when I needed a competition holster I let him custom make it to the gun to be safe.
  4. Just saw your shooting a P226. So you wouldn't have that problem probably
  5. Have you had any POI issues with the fixed sights?
  6. I too can't wait to try the Target. Really excited about that one.
  7. Thanks for the response. I guess it's only the adjustable sights that are complicated then. I may just go the same route you did.
  8. I decided to switch to the P320 platform for competition. Picked up a new full size today. After some reading it seems that adding competition sights isn't as easy some other platforms. Read of POI issues etc. So any guidance from the more experienced on here would be greatly appreciated. Do I have to send it off to Burke or Grays Guns to get a set installed? Again any help is appreciated. Thanks
  9. The 320RX is just a full size milled for an optic isn't it? Or are there other differences? I've never really had any interest in optics on pistols. But if it's a different gun then that would be something to consider
  10. That's what I was afraid of. Well that helps that decision anyway.
  11. Yeah. If I knew it was only going to be a month or two until the Target came out I'd wait. But I have a feeling it's probably going to be a while before there is enough of them out there to actually get my hands on one.
  12. I'm going to move to the P320 platform for USPSA /IDPA. Want a Production gun and an ESP / Limited Minor gun. So question is do I get a P320 Full size now with two frames and all of the add-ons? Or hold off and hope the Target comes out soon? I kind of like the idea of switching slide / FCU between the two frames. Although I'm sure the Target will offer the same option.

    P320 Target

I have a feeling it's gonna be a while. Especially until you can actually find one.
  14. I really have no interest in this gun. But I'm glad they are doing it. Seems like Sig is listening to the market coming out with this gun and the Target.

    P320 Target

That makes two of us. I've got high hopes for this gun. If it weighs and shoots anything like my Legion SAO with the flat trigger and short reset it will be my holy grail of production guns. I want to know the weight and if its balanced better. I never was a believer in a balanced gun until I shot my FS 320 side by side with my daughters compact 320. My groups were better with the stock compact. ??? I agree. I wasn't that impressed with the full size. Very nose heavy to me. And while a carry a P320 compact I've never been drawn to the P320 as a competition gun. A prefer a gun with a beavertail. So my SAO Legion suits me better. But if the Target looks anything like the pictures I'm definitely interested. Looks like they listened to their customers. Hopefully we will actually be able to get our hands on one this year. Could definitely be my next Production gun.
  16. Hopefully it comes out this year.
  17. So you can actually backorder one now?

    P226 Legion SAO

Nice. Where did you find one? http://www.trt-tac.com/CustomSpeed-magwell-for-Sig-P226-Legion-SAO-dark-gray-226-19.htmYou do need different basepads with it though. Awesome. Thank you

    P226 Legion SAO

I shot a local match with mine today in Limited minor for fun. Pulled third out of twentyfive Limited shooters. If it was Production legal I'd sell my CZ's in a heartbeat. But one thing is for sure. The 226 Legion SAO is the most awesome nightstand gun ever. Yes it is. I think I'm going to throw a light on mine just for that very thing.

    P226 Legion SAO

Shot mine for the first time in a USPSA match yesterday. Performed flawlessly. Really a great gun.
  23. The SAO frame is different from the DA/SA. It's thinner at the top where the DA/SA mechanism would be. No bump. I agree Sig would benefit from more SAO options. I'd be all over a P229 Legion SAO.
