  1. Thanks for the response. What I am trying to find out is will a Roll Crimp work with the Hi-Tek coated bullets or not. I think it will scrape off the coating.
  2. I have only loaded 9mm and 45 ACP. A friend wants me to load some 38 Spl for his wheel gun. Will a roll crimp work onl the Hi-Tek bullets or does the crimp scrape off the coating and cause leading and/or accuracy problems?
  3. I use also Dawn and Lemi Shine added to hot water to cover the brass and let it sit over night. Next morning rinse and place on a paper towel inside a pan and let the sun dry the brass. Then I tumble for a couple hours. Lube with Dillon lube or my homemade lube. No sticking and brass looks great.
  4. Here is an update. I finally got lucky and a lady answered the phone two weeks ago. She gave me a different address for warranty repair than the one that came with my unit. Sent the unit off Oct 24, and received a new unit today(11/3/2016). Will start reloading again tomorrow.
  5. I have been trying to contact the company via email and telephone several times with no luck. They have not responded to any request for assistance. A 30 year or lifetime warranty is not worth very much when the company will not respond to a service request. I did find that it will hold zero a little longer if you do not use the pad to rest the unit on. Seems the pad can give a little and this can effect the unit. I cannot recommend this product due to very poor support.
  6. Thanks for all the tips. The dryer sheets is the only thing that I have not tried. Next loading session I will give that a try. Per the mfr web site I sent them an email, no response. I tried calling, no answer. Their product support seems to be lacking.
  7. This past Dec I purchased from Brian Enos an RL550B setup which included a GemPro 250 scale. When I zero out the Tare Weight the unit will only hold that zero for five to ten minutes and then starts to drift off. This then requires another Tare Zero to continue. I sent a message to the manufacture, but they have not responded. Is this normal or is my unit defective and if defective how do you get it repaired?
  8. I had a similar problem with an older 550 until I reversed the plates to the opposite side of the press. Then all the holes lined up.
  9. I have been loading 9mm 124gr Bayou Bullets using BE-86. COAL of 1.125 with Winchester SPP. Out of a 5" barrel the average velocity was 1167 fps. Hope this helps.
  10. I have not had any problems picking up Winchester Small Pistol Primers using the yellow tip pickup tube. Try replacing the tip with a new one.
